  1. -----------------DAVIS------------------ FRAZER-----FONTE-----MARTIN------FOX ------PUNCHEON---CORK-----CHAPPERS-- -----------------LALLANA---------------- ----------LAMBERT----SHARP------------ Subs: Bart, Harding, Morgan, Hammond, Lee I have a feeling Chappers will start but wont last 90 mins, probably get replaced with Hammond and Lee will probably replace Lallana at some point since he looked very tired after Tuesdays game, Lee can play in that position behind the strikers. We looked alot better when AL played off the strikers and Cork, Morgan & Punch all played more central.
  2. Morgan anytime, Hammond wont be able to handle the prem and Morgan's through balls will be the key for Lee and Sharpe.
  3. Gully has been terrible for us for about 10 games in a row, it's winter it's cold he does not perform, he's a warm weather player! I am amazed that DC is even starting for me he can play well one game then have 3 off games, if he doesn't do it tonight i think he wont get into this team again with Sharpe and Lee here now.
  4. Thank you, least someone else knows the stats. Guly has been carried for too long now, SDR gives us pace, width and is willing to fight for the ball, Guly goes missing in the winter and now with Lee and Sharpe bought in and Punch is back and looking good and Chappers back in light training, Guly's days are numbered during the winter at least.
  5. I agree, I like Sharp a lot but i also think Lee has something great to offer us, i think Lee will be used as a sub now and Guly and DC will be used as cup players. Now we need a defender.
  6. I'm pretty sure we beat West Ham with Chappers and Morgan in the centre. Your insane thinking Guly is a right midfielder, SDR and Punch is better than him in that position. Defence i agree with... SDR Morgan Cork Lallana Sharp Lambo I wouldn't even have Guly on the bench going from his form atm oh and it's going to get even colder so Guly wont be any good this month anyway, he hibernates during the winter.
  7. well he provides width and that's what we need atm, he can be quite handy, scores goals and likes to run at the defence which is what we also lack. Hope his attitude has improved though. Still think we'll needs another winger and a defender though.
  8. formation, tactics all wrong, need to stop this 3 cm thing we do, it works now and again but not all the time, NA does not like to change things but he needs to get it into his thick skull that playing hammond, cork and morgan does not work even having chappers back wont help if he keeps on doing the same tactics week in week out other teams know how to beat us now. The games we have won recently have come about getting good luck for us ie: playing against 10 men. Gully isnt up for a fight and DC plays well one week then does nothing the next. Now we have AL out and our main defender out it does not look good does it. Maybe we need fresh blood through transfer market or even give our kids ago, they are doing great.
  9. we should of started the game the width we just never learn
  10. It's a must win tonight having lost away to this lot, we need to get at least 4 points off everyone to finish in the top 2 so we're behind already. It's out of Cardiff, WHU, Saints, Brum and i reckon Blackpool will be up there at end of the season.
  11. Just silly money, Id rather have Sordell and maybe another defender for that price and Sordell has what we need...pace.
  12. easy one...Sordell, he has pace we lack
  13. Well that sums it up for me, £6m saved. He only looks good as he's playing against other players who would struggle in league 1 or 2, he's like the Top Trump in that league but in the premier he'll be that card everyone gets ****ed off in having. If he was that good, one of the top premier clubs would be after him. Scott McDonald did well up there but he doesn't really light up the championship, Heskey did very well when at leicester but has done nothing since and is pretty much a laughing stock nowadays, why? cause when he was at leicester he was their main man so everything came to him so he had more chances and the law of averages meant he scored a lot more probably the same as Hooper at scunny, more chances equals more goals. hooper isnt worth £6m quid if we are aiming for the premier. Yes he could very well be a good premiership player, no-one knows but the word lazy and footballer shouldn't be in the sentence unless he's MLT but im sure he isn't.
  14. I agree if we were after yet another striker we would be after someone with pace not the same type of player as of Lee/Lambert, i think we are after a right/left midfielder and maybe a young pacey striker. You could have a point about Rickie, maybe we have had a good offer for him, im sure we'll find out this week whatever happens.
  15. Lee is also a great finisher and he didnt cost £6m. If Hooper is that good top premier clubs would be after him also.
  16. Lee and DC upfront could be very interesting upfront, Harding for me deserves his place yet again so really only change id make is Lee for Gully thats if Lee is ready to play.
  17. Not seen this guy play at all so checked him up on YouTube and all i can say 80% of his goals were tap ins coming from crosses from the wings. We do not play that type of football alot of the time so 6m for someone who might not play to our system could be a big risk to take. I will say though, some goals i saw were well taken and he seemed to have a good first touch. He'll be a good buy if we changed from our central attacking to a wing attack but for me someone with pace would suit us upfront better and for that amount of money we could easily land Sordell.
  18. True WHU placed a bid for him but it said 2m for him not 3m, it's a player i said before the window opened we should try to sign and id go all out for this one, i reckon he'll be a top player. £3m + Punch could be a good offer for watford i just hope NA and NC have seen his potential.
  19. To me keeping in players who is under achieving ie Gully and keeping the same tactics week in week out has been our downfall. The diamond worked for a while then failed and kept failing but no change was made. Gully was useless for 6 games? in a row but he stayed in the starting 11, some games it was like we were playing with 10 men. Teams have now found out a way of defeating our strong midfield, by fielding 5 midfielder's against us i still don't see why we don't to the same and match them, a 451 formation can be turned into a 433 while on the attack. Our youngsters gave a good performance against Coventry, we could of used some of their young determination in december.
  20. He's not a skate get your facts right, he's originally from kingston, surrey. We have been reported to have already agreed a deal with him as soon as he's 17 but with bigger clubs knocking on his door with a contract we might lose him. Im sure he would have 1st team action for us next season or he can do a Walcott/oxo and be stuck in the reserves for 2 years doing nothing apart from the odd game now and again. I'll always say this, 1st team action improves your game not training with a bigger team playing a handfull of reserves games a season with only about 200 ppl watching.
  21. Davis Richardson Fonte/Martin Jos Harding De Ridder Cork Morgan Lallana Hoskins Connolly With Gully off form and still winter for me Hoskins could be someone who can help us, played well coming on against coventry, would be pretty tough on harding not to feature as well. NA needs to play a standard 442 not the diamond crap.
  22. Yes good result good for moral but please NA stop using this diamond formation for long periods, first 45 mins were not at all good, when we went to the standard 442 in the 2nd half we started to dominate.
  23. Darn i would of liked to of seen Shaw get a go, he's meant to be very good indeed.
  24. I don't think AL is out of form i think he's a marked man a bit like Bale was at Spurs most of last season which made him look like he wasn't playing as well. He has been given a new lease of life since been given a free role position a bit like Ball (i think) gave to MLT and his game improved so much. Allowing AL do also do this will help us as a team and maybe gain some confidence back in himself and since he can play on either wing and a central role it will suit him down to the ground. Yes we'll need to change the formation and yes maybe we will have to play with 5 midfielders, Barcalona play with 6 midfielders and no out right striker. Will it work? well who knows but as things go atm it's worth a try. As for tactics i think since we've been found out NA tactics have been shocking. Gully's performances have been so bad it's almost like we're playing with 10 men but NA does not see it, yes we're lacking in strikers but like what iv'e just said, try something new, AL could play off Lambert and try someone else down the left, maybe Holmes (yes he's not the best but it's something new) or Fox and try one of our many youngsters at left back if Harding isnt trusted enough. We do have options but NA does not like change or like to risk things. I say this saturday lets play the kids and then he can spot any which can fit into the team straight away.
