  1. Maddison was never off balance and knew exactly where he was placing it! Stephens was done for speed pure and simple.
  2. Fair enough but there is always a mistake in the offing when he is playing. Not only was he turned too easily by Maddison but there were at least two passes out of defence that went straight to a Leicester player and went unpunished.
  3. It's more than that. Membership of the single market requires all participants to follow the same rules for zero tariff trade. Take away that requirement and the single market ceases to exists. To expect any other outcome is a delusion.
  4. I've thought for some time that this is a process that has to go to its (il)logical conclusion before common sense returns. Until then the ideologues will spin their lies and half truths lost in their own fantasy world of English exceptionalism.
  5. Yes - right in front of me at the Archers end!
  6. Clumsy choice of words maybe but no more than that.
  7. For me he just doesn't read the game well enough at this level. I remember him ball watching and allowing Andy Carrol an easy goal on his debut and the lack of awareness is still there unfortunately.
  8. That must be the most toe curling embarrassing MOTD ever. All involved should be ashamed of themselves.
  9. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2020/07/27/report-southampton-target-flies-to-england-to-seal-saints-move-alongside-salisu/ Did Rodriguez ever sign?
  10. Agreed. Redmond needs to seriously up his game or he'll be spending his time on the bench.
  11. It's his decision making. Every time the wrong option!
  12. Adams is a good player but not Premiership standard as proven by his goal tally and that's the way he should be judged. KWP fired a cross late on across goal and any one of the MU forwards would have anticipated it and connected. Adams just ball watched. Obafemi has a bit more about him in front of goal but needs to broaden his game to be a regular starter. I'd play Obafemi for the remaining games this season.
  13. Alan Ball every time.
  14. An all time favourite for me and a marvellous player who complemented Terry Paine so very well. I can still see it now: Paine finds George on the edge of the area and .... back of the net!!
  15. Spot on. We don't have the size and/or backing to consistently compete at this level
  16. Remind me again. How much a week do they earn?
  17. Lacks basic awareness to be a regular starter.
  18. A league too far for this fella. Time to go.
  19. Jack Stephens if I recall.
  20. Southgate sussed him out years ago. He'd be top of my list to ship out in January.
  21. From the comments section of the Guardian "Ah, but do they fancy a wet Saturday afternoon at Turf Moor ? In Southampton's case, clearly not ! Oh, and to the Saints fan who mused on their forum yesterday, " Will it be on ? I can't imagine Turf Moor has a very sophisticated drainage system ", we've had a sand based Desso-Grassmaster pitch for years !! In other news, we also have Colour TV, paved roads, electricity, and as at 4.53pm, 3 points !!"
  22. It's well to remember that luck plays a part also. A very good performance yesterday but it could just as easily have been 3-2 the other way.
  23. That's been clear for a long time to all but the permanently deluded hasn't it? Good teams need good players. If I was MH I'd be having a good old chuckle right now.
  24. Indeed. If we're still in the bottom 3 come March I hope Hughes is still available.
  25. Amuses me how managers are now perceived as magicians waving magic wands. Sign of the times I suppose.
