I think there's something in this. Pardew keeps bringing up in the press the 18 months he was allegedly promised, and I think that's aimed squarely at Cortese. I hope they kiss and make up, another change of manager is not what we need at the moment IMO.

No! I never saw an option for that! The last version I played before this was Championship Manager 97/98, so I may be a bit out of date!

I got FM for my iPhone last week, and spent pretty much all last week playing. I'm managing Southampton, and I manage immediate back-to-back promotions to the Prem (take note Pardew ). I can see that my squad is not good enough for the Prem, but the board still won't give me any transfer funds (they do set a massive wage budget, but it doesn't help much because I can only sign free transfers). So we have a hard first season in the Prem, but somehow we just manage to avoid relegation and while I'm still celebrating... I get the sack. Go figure!

He's got the right idea, if he guilts a few more more people into making the effort then that can only be good for the club. Big crowds would be as likely to help our playoff push as big signings imo.
