I could be wrong, but I thought that in football (not in usual business) the Football league or whoever is in control of the leagues paid off the debt and as a result a points deduction would be in place, and the points deduction was brought in to stop teams winding up massive debts, filling for admin and and getting debts cleared without penalty. like I said I could be wrong, but i'm sure I read that somewhere after it happened to Leeds.

We were given the 10 point deduction as a result of the debt being paid off. When he took over, the club had no debts.
