No Hampshire follower could think ill of Vince's decision. As for Kohler Cadmore, don't know much about his case but he's without doubt just another sporting personality lured to the Gulf by the apparently excellent facilities and climate. I believe half of tennis's who's who are based there.

Just red ball ? I don't think I'll comment on the Vince affair, probably get myself into trouble. But he sketches on the real reason for this move in his interview.
-
No it isn't, the players are obviously a factor of the problem. while it's true that it's not their fault if they're not good enough for the PL, we've conceded a lot of goals due to individual errors, among the highest in the league I believe. We'd also be right up there for missed chances i expect as well. There's a reason why the three promoted clubs are last, next to last and next to next to last, players not of the required level. It's also probably why City have fallen through the floor of late, the replacements aren't good enough.

Just means that punters are investing on wagers that they think might come off and win them a packet. It's ok if it's money they could afford to lose.

At this time manager selection seems to be a bit of a lucky dip, no guarantee really that he'll be any better or any worse than his predecessor. so I'll not worry about it at all.
-
Which we didn't, in fact it was just crude slogging as we needed to make their score in about 16 overs to progress, the top order just aren't sloggers though, not in any shape or form. Good to watch some Hants cricket mid-winter though. Ended up with one win and 3 losses. Good mid-winter jolly for the lads though.

So all in all a good season in the CC. Pity about the rained off first game, might have been a bit closer to Surrey if we'd been able to get more than 8 points there. Still a bit concerned about the young openers though, rarely do they both score runs at the same time, still I presume Orr will replace one of them for next season and he'll bat further down the order. Perhaps at 3 or 6. Might even have selection problems, wouldn't be a bad thing.

Who was the last signing that genuinely got you excited?

Pochettino, since then 10 years of average everything. -
Yesterday was a good day for Hants that transformed into an average day. Vince, really what were you thinking with that shot that gave Lancs a leg up? Looked like one of his "can't be arsed with this" days.

Shameful shirt !!

Vince has some sort of minor injury, described as a niggle by the commentators. Was off the field for a fair bit of the day on friday as well.
-
Play to start in about 15 minutes. Presume they'll make us bat.

There will probably be changes to the bowling line up, perhaps a real first rate spinner, I am personally far from convinced that our coach is what's needed. Then again I'm not on amicable terms with him as you are. I see young players not progressing as well as one might expect, I see poor fielding on occasions, I see iffy toss decisions and poor opening batting on several occasions. The one-day campaigns were medium to poor, not up to standard in any shape or form. Still as you say, possibly new owners, one can just hope for a clear-out and a general bucking up in standards.

Well, the start is delayed so that's a bonus. We were pretty awful yesterday, aimless bowling, poor even from Turner, dropped catches that really didn't help our cause. Hants looked like a side with very little left to play for this season and the decision to put them in first looks like a monumental error. I think Vince was off the field for a part of the day as well. Only Abbas came out of the day with any sort of real credit, steady bowling that kept the score down and got some wickets. This season is toast, even with 4 games left to play and things must surely change before the 2025 season, all formats included.

Excellent even, but we need to dismiss Handscombe before he gets too dug in. Wasn't it he that beat us almost by himself last year, or was that Ackerman?
-
I did not know that. Too late now, I have to head off to the footy in a while, Clermont-Pau this evening, Ligue 2, might be a bit of a sad affair but as I've paid me money.....................
-
Motoring along nicely today, big knock from Gubbins, just out though, hope we can continue racking up the score in the last 8 overs or so. 300 would be good, bit of a way to go though as of yet, might only get about 280. No stream................:-(

It's pretty obvious that we do not bat well on the opponents' grounds. we win at home but on turnip patches in the sticks, not so much. Today there was nothing really special as far as I could see in Worcs bowling, but it was aggressive, pitched up and straight in the main. You only have to look at Gubbins dismissal to see that such bowling poses us a real problem. Middleton, Organ, Brown and Gubbins are grafters, they aren't aggressive batters. Prest, well he's gone backwards hasn't he, perhaps not is all well with his injury. Weatherly is a waste of space most of the time. The bowling is all over the place, Abbott was pretty good today, didn't cost many. Wheal? don't know why he is still here, Currie would be better, even Holland. Abbas isn't a one-day bowler. The spinners aren't spinners, they're stop gaps. Kelly looks good though.

Absolute rubbish. Can't bat, can't bowl. In football the head coach would be long gone by now. Cricket however is a genteel game, and nobody gets sacked for poor showings.
-
Wow, Albert dismissed by an absolutely awful umpiring decision. Few wides not called as well. Worcs umpire ?
-
Our batting of late is a real shambles.
-
Hopeless, just hopeless is our bowling. Northants had the best of the wicket this morning, now it's just flat.
-
It's an ok score but Abbott is making it difficult to defend it. But Jack has just got their prime run scorer so it may get better.
