Excellent half. Need more goals though. Ref is worrying me, that yellow for Fonte and 3 fouls on Gaston, the one he should have stopped immediately he played advantage and the other 2 he blew up straight away when he should have played advantage. He seems a bit clueless, wouldn't want him costing us the game.

Gutted! We weren't great but did enough to win it, but made a terrible, terrible mistake again. Mind you we'd have probably only let one in at the death anyway had we been leading going in to stoppage time. My main concern is that we just don't seem to be able to lift our confidence. Too much nervous fannying around with the ball when incisive passing/shooting is needed. The corners we had were awful, only one produced a moment of danger. Pretty clear for everyone when Gaston puts both hands in the air that it is going right over the box to Ricky on the far side, talk about telegraphing it. At the death, Puncheon had a good chance to shoot but just ****ed around with it, not willing to take a chance and blast it. Adam is too powderpuff, all that diving around makes refs less likely to give us a pen, and sure enough when he got mugged on the edge of the box the ref didn't want to know. I liked the idea of Gaston and Ricky mixing up the free kick, but around the back to Fonte? All a bit weird. From the way Adkins looked at the final whistle, I think it's time up, hope not, I don't see anyone decent enough to replace him at the moment.

We are playing well, but I am thinking more and more that Lallana is a bit overrated, he's good, but defensively he is poor, he's a bit weak on the ball, has no confidence in his shooting and takes an age to pull the trigger. It may just be confidence but his passing has been really poor lately too.

Saints being Saints we will have plenty of ups and downs all season. At the end of the day, Saints'll still be Saints whatever division we are in. No use getting worked up about something that we can't really control. I just hope for the best, if they lose, then they lose, not my fault...

Snow tires go on here really soon. Snow tires or not, most of those drivers were just stupid, really ****ing stupid. Driving in snow is an almost an artform but some folks just don't respect it and end up in the ditches or worse...

I struggle to see how any of you enjoy football. Even when we win there is whinging about going behind or a poor performance. Heck, when we were closing in on the title last year, people still doom and gloom saying we'd lose out or when we went up we'd lose every week. Just enjoy the sodding game, you can't influence it either way, just enjoy the entertainment.

I like this approach. A useful number next to each one would be what their expected points total would be so far as that would help interpret the numbers as I can't be bothered to look at the table and do the maths. E.g ours would be current points 4 - expected points 6.75 (down 2.75) etc etc...

We are going to get absolutely dickked. Question is, which of their players hasn't scored in eons and needs a kickstart?
