Fonte's only ever played for Crystal Palace and if this player is mates with him but from another club than it has to be a London club from The Championship. QPR or Watford? Or it could be a player that has left CP for another club since Fonte joined in 2007... Or it could be Stock and Forte! This is fun.

I think Pulis has something to offer. He's gone away and got Football League playing time in only the league below. There are some question marks over the Hammond and Schneiderlin partnership so when he recovers from his injury perhaps he could play a part. He's the sort of tenacious midfielder every team needs.

We had Glasgow getting annoyed that our only signing of the Jan window was Pericard (who we haven't signed) on the 4th of January. Now we have Alpine getting frustrated at the amount of time it's taking for two potential transfers to go through on the 6th of January. I predict a TDD moan on the 8th and a Stevo moan on the 10th.

As a Torquay fan I find all this rather amusing. We drew that game 2-2 FFS, and you managed to get through on penalties. And as for that comment, at times on the night we looked like the League One side, you were "god sh1t" without Lallana. We've only lost 1 of 12 games ourselves, and we're "sh1t".

The rules state: 48.2.4 The period of a Long Term Loan shall expire no earlier than the end of the season in which the Long Term Loan takes place and a Player signed on such a transfer must complete the loan period and may not be recalled by his original Club at any time during that loan period save: a) when the Player is recalled and transferred permanently to another Club; and b) in the case of a goalkeeper whose agreement may contain a recall clause which may only be implemented in exceptional circumstances with the consent of the Executive. The Football League just don't like Southampton.

The Football League only allow recalling of Goalkeepers if it's an "emergency". They don't deem this as that.
