  1. I agree. He's also said that the target is mid-table this year and promotion next. Some people seem to be expecting the impossible.
  2. We've played two league matches and a cup match so far. 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss. Forgive me if I don't join you in a suicide pact just yet.
  3. May I suggest that you follow police advice and go and hide in a bush Pancake until the nasty man goes away? Seriously I do think DW has a point NC has wrecked the Pompey thread (and many others). His trolling isn't even amusing.
  4. Thanks for the above - a very interesting and enlightening read. Can't wait to see what happens next.
  5. You can usually find him at home here: http://www.clubfanzine.com/southampton/v2.forum.categories.php?id_categ=37
  6. Shhhh - she might see this then we're all in trouble.
  7. Aren't the two much the same thing
  8. And I thought you were a nice girl.
  9. Yessssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!
  10. Fair point. All grist to the mill of ITN Pt II then.
  11. I think it's a fair point. The key of course is that Pardew is allowed to bring in some new players asap. We just have to hope to f$ck that they mesh very quickly otherwise we will be struggling in the lower reaches at the end of the season as TT says.
  12. Can't help but feel you're flogging a dead horse here Duncan. Pinnacle were clearly flawed bidders as was Marc Jackson, Uncle Tom Cobbly and all. They wasted valuable time but it's now all in the past. Looking forward I think we should be more concerned to see how much money SFC's new owner is wiling to invest in taking us forward.
  13. Are we talking immigrant American or persecuted native American here TT?
  14. Well I paid £351 for an ST level with the half way line. Salisbury are charging £300 for a seated ST. I like Salisbury but I know which I think is the best value. IMO Saints ST prices are a good deal this year.
  15. Well said and having suffered after being dropped by SFC, they are now on the ascendency. If the men show anything like the same passion this season we will easily win the league.
  16. Jeez. I'm guessing you were once nutmegged by a girl footballer at school and it's caused you lasting and severe emotional distress, right?
  17. On reflection, I think Pardew could be a very good choice for us. He's got promotions with both Reading and West Ham and is by most measures a good and experienced manager. In an uncertain world he's probably as good a bet as there is. I can't see why Strachan would want to come back to us in League 1 or him being very proud of himself if he did.
  18. If you bought the tickets in person, they weren't able to issue receipts from the windows on the right. Also I believe that with each Ajax ticket sold at £351 they were including a free Season Ticket. This was what I was charged anyway.
  19. Which in turn was rather similar to Lowe's next appointment in October 2001 when there was a lukewarm reception for news of the arrival of a certain relegated and sacked reject from Coventry. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/leagueone/southampton/3015229/Strachan-due-south-as-Gray-loses-his-way.html
  20. Cheers MB - I'll be there later then.
  21. Anyone know how long the queues are at the Ticket Office at the moment?
  22. Interesting to read Clapham's point that as SFC which was not in Admin has been bought, all the small business creditors of the Club itself will be paid in full. That is good news. Also as Lowe appointed the Administrator, why is GM so surprised that (in his opinion) they have been incompetent? When did Rupes ever get anything right?
  23. Let's hope it's the truth. Unfortunately I can imagine him half way through a deal with a new buyer based on a realistic valuation of perhaps £8 million when along come Pinnacle again offering £12 million and then backing out again next week.
  24. I loved this bit in today's Echo - really revealing exclusive hot news:
