The Bellagio fountains were pretty good when I went (under 21 so couldn't enjoy the gambling/drinking part) . Visit all the hotels on the strip all have got their own little bits of entertainment. Will definitly going back when I can so that I can experience it properly!

I would be very happy to put my name forward. I think that when I post i offer a fair and unbiased view and could bring that to moderating this forum.

Now their has been a lot of controversy about the possible appointment of NA by Cortese and that we should be going for a more high profile name (i.e KK or MON). However, these are old school managers as opposed to NA who would appear to be more open minded to the style Cortese is trying to implement. I was discussing this with a colleague at work and we recalled a previous chairman who with Sir Clive Woodward were trying to implement a new structure within the club and made the mistake of appointing a certain Harry Redknapp, who was undoubtedly an old school manager and was not open to the idea of a new structure. This failure to make an appointment who fitted in with the structure cost the club big time (even though the supporters were over the moon with the appointment and was very much a big name that the fans wanted) and lead to our premier league relegation and the subsequent mess we later found ourselves in. IMO it is good to see Cortese rising above the pressure of the fans and going for someone who will fit into the structure he is trying to implement and this can only benefit us for the future and hopefully avoid another scenario where the management team fall out and damages the club as a result. So I think that while NC can be criticised on some grounds, it should be noted that he is someone who is big enough to learn from his own mistakes (ie the photographers ban if he has indeed lifted it) and that he will also look back at the mistakes of others and learn from them.

I noticed that. Presumed it was Liebherrs family....

Buying players for the sake of it got us nowhere in the past (in the Lowe era), remember that we need players who can make the step up to the top half of the championship there is no point buying a player for the sake of the fact that he can do a job in league one and no higher and them having him stuck on the books due to his contract and not getting a game as we've been and bought a player who can then play at the level we need

Wasnt there a thread on this ages ago??

Any chance of him being put up on the banner? As the man who saved this club I think it is only fitting that he should be up with other club legends. -

It doesnt matter, as long as theres a nice pair of tits

More or less what Turkish said. Dickson looked a very good player and we were the better team until we bought too many of the reserves on.
-
Yeah but we're not publically chasing everyone and anyone. We also haven't spent massively out of proportion to what we can afford IMO

Besides I think Les Reeds appointment partly covers the job of DOF (in looking after the young players and bringing them through) and leaves Pardew with the job of identifying and signing players. -

I think he has since remarked (in an interview with BBC) that he has realised that a DOF wouldn't fit in so well in the English game as well as it does on the Continent. -

The Marvin McCoy rumour would perhaps suggest that we are looking to use Butterfield in the middle at times? -
