First time I've left a match early, the football has been dire for the last few months with endless sideways passing and lack of movement off the ball

I think it was Stuart Ripley who went on to become a solicitor

If it's the Bruma from galatasary I assume that would be our mane replacement
-
Not necessarily a manager I'd want but his name came to me whilst watching the Euros this evening. I seem to recall him being highly rated before moving to Celtic

Has Ronny Delia been mentioned?

Cheerio Brendan

At the end of the day it comes down to ambition, we can't expect to buy players from other clubs by selling our ambitious plans to them and then not expect them to not in turn use their ambitions when a bigger club comes knocking.

The full article says nothing of the sort http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/399727/EXCLUSIVE-Newcastle-line-up-replacements-as-pressure-on-Alan-Pardew-grows "The Daily Star Sunday understands Newcastle would also consider the appointment of a European-style head coach if they axe Pardew, who has seen the Toon Army turn against him. If the Geordies had made a change in the summer, Ronald Koeman – in charge of the Southampton side which hammered Newcastle yesterday – would have been in the frame." The BBC, and you, have clearly failed to read the article properly...

Yes because a few fans moaning about selling players who clearly didn't want to be here made the club change strategy from 'fire sale' to heavily reinvesting in the team. Let's face it, if it had been the fire sale as some here were suggesting, they wouldn't have cared what the fans said and would have continued to do so. Instead they asked to be judged on the 1st September and those fans who you say sat back and pontificated, allowed them that time and the board delivered, it had nothing to do with these fans holding them to account

Weren't we in competition with Cardiff for Wanyama and Fulham for Osvaldo last summer?

Edit. My above post was meant to relate to this post

Well that's just not true. I seem to recall have to watch some dire football under Dean Wilkins after the sacking while Cortese was searching for candidates, it was a few games before we got Adkins I recall.

Saints fans singing "who needs Rodriguez, we've got your back four"

I think I knew the same cousin! I think he now supports Chelsea after realising it was becoming a bit silly supporting every club which Vokes got loaned too!

Anyone finding that the offers they are making for players aren't going through properly? Say for example you bid £1.5m for Honda and Moscow turn it down saying that your £215k bid isn't good enough??
-
I think people more have a problem with Sinclair and Rodwell are more viewed as money grabbers, because they joined a Man City side where they were clearly not going to be first choice players and were being bought in as squad players and too boost Man City's quota of homegrown players

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22719441 CHDAJFU? Would possibly a good choice to alternate with Shaw?
-
Interesting to hear from Brian McDermott that Adkins tried to buy Federeci (I'd assume while he was managing Saints) wonder when he tried to buy him?
-
*specifically to Saints

What other changes have been made?

120. The most obvious misses being Alex O-C!
