  1. 'You're shit and your shop went bust' has a ring to it but would be lost on the younger generation!! or 'You're just a shit London Borough by the busy M40' is probably too much of a mouthful!!
  2. I much rather have either of our keepers that the Brentford chappie (and I realise he is not first choice) Also there are other 'keepers around in the Prem worse than our two. To my mind they are subject to a lot of unjustifiable criticism. That said neither of them are good at distribution.
  3. Am I right to believe that we sold one of our youngsters, a central defender, onto Man City for a reported £1.5m earlier in the season? Separately has a fee been fixed for Thierry Small from Everton?
  4. For those of us who thought Obefami might make the grade here would be pleased that the club managed to off load him for a couple of million. I thought he was bang on Championship level average, or a bit below, yesterday.
  5. This 'meet' never seems to get mentioned in the Pompey 'Hard Man' stories. Any reason?
  6. Still as that nice lady Edwina Currie recently said on a recent radio interview when asked four times what have been the main benefits of Brexit, she eventually said 'Freedom'!!! Wonderfully concise but absolutely useless reply.
  7. Those of us long standing supporters will remember a time when challenges on Goalkeepers were allowed even if they were full on assaults. Reference our own George Kirby who used to terrorise opposing players (especially 'custodians' - Peter Grummitt in one particular game) and Nat Lofthouse of Bolton in a Cup Final in 1958 breaking Man Utd's Ray Wood's shoulder with one shoulder challenge with no subs in those days. Nowadays opposing players only have to breathe on a 'keeper to get a foul.
  8. Re Angus Gunn. He has now let in 8 since returning to the Norwich team. Feel for him.
  9. I would be very annoyed if a similar challenge on Lloris had been ruled out. However despite the decision and the offside against Kane went in our favour we deserved the result. Forster would have been murdered on here if the goal had stood but he played well otherwise. Big up to all the players and also the crowd. Saints supporters bossed that side of the game. That said, we do need more of a range of songs.
  10. As an example, Brighton was shown at 30,000 but it is reckoned there were less than half as many in the ground as it is challenging getting to the Amex and the connecting train service was not running. Getting to the Taxpayers Stadium was also challenging.
  11. Projected chaos between us and the EU from 1st January as this is the date when more complicated paperwork is required to import/export goods. No doubt Liz Truss will sort it out when she is off the phone to Putin telling him of the dire consequences faced by Russia if Ukraine is invaded. 2022 is already looking good!!
  12. Badger Thank you for putting me right on this. I hadnt thought about the saline solution scenario Do you think this may have been an antidote to the bleach Donnie boy has been drinking?
  13. But it is not just Boris but more or less every Govt in the world is jumping to get their countrymen, women and others vaccinated. So a massive world wide conspiracy including politicians, scientists and medical professionals. One hell of a conspiracy when we are unable to get agreement on a simple thing like Brexit.
  14. Apparently when Alex Jones went to Court re custody of three of his four children (from his first marriage) his attorney described him as a 'performance artist'. If so so his performances really deserve some sort of artistic award. To me he appears to portray a sort of psychotic freak who appeals to others of a similar frame of mind.
  15. Alex Jones, of InfoWars 'fame', is going off on one of his regular rants this time towards his 'big mate', The Donald who has admitted to have taken a Booster jab. The Donald will now become an alien like the rest of us 'Sheepies'. I am not so sure I like the fact that Trump is now one of us.
  16. And, of course, when Lord Frost was CEO of the Scotch Whisky Association from 2103 - 2016 he was not keen on the UK getting out of the EU and losing its biggest export market. Liz Truss did indeed campaign to Remain. Our esteemed leader Bumbling Boris had two prepared speeches ready, one to Remain one to Leave, the night before electing to follow the path he felt would best lead him to being Prime Minister of a country that he proudly reckoned had 'An Oven Ready' Brexit deal, only for many us to realise he couldn't be bothered to read the cooking instructions on the Ready Meal packet!!
  17. A reasoned response. The only point I personally would take some issue with, if we all go out and live our lives 'normally' even though fully vaccinated/mask wearing etc, there remains the chance of infecting others or being infected which could potentially cause more hospital workers being infected and/or more patients taking up ICU beds. That, to me, is a conundrum.
  18. I am fully vaccinated and have followed what, I believe to be, the best advice from medical experts in the UK which seem to reflect the opinions of the vast majority of their colleagues across the world. I thought MLT came over reasonably well in this interview with Dan Wootton (who I agree is a 'bell end') and there are questions regarding the increased number of heart issues in sports people which need to be investigated if, indeed, this is the case. The problem is, I think that MLT has extended his, relatively reasonable questions about Covid vaccinations etc, to a wider conspiracy debate along the lines of David Icke and Piers Corbyn, which does him no favours. I suppose one good thing is that GB News is not at the fore front of news generation and viewing figures are minimal.
  19. According to reports the Uk's exports of Food & Drink to the EU are down 25% over same period pre Brexit. To add balance there is a 11% increase in similar exports to non EU countries but the net balance is a reduction of 14% equivalent to a few billion pounds but I am sure that was all factored into the Brexit plan along with fact that the number of Ferry Links between the UK and Ireland have reduced whilst there has been a corresponding uplift to Ferry sailings between Ireland and France/Iberia.
  20. The comedian Jethro the latest to expire due to Covid. Shame,
  21. There are also adult and child mannequins dressed in Saints gear at one of the main entrances to John Lewis which made me wonder if there was in an store shop for Saints gear similar to that within the (now closed) Beales store in Bournemouth which used to stock AFCB gear.
  22. Yes!!! How did you know? Its costing me a fortune.
  23. I am of a certain age and have experienced no issues after x 3 Covid and x 1 Flu jab but seem to be receiving unsolicited calls on my mobile from some geezer called Bill who is checking where I am.
  24. I have a relative who works in a major hospital in the Midlands. She reckons the ICU in her hospital is full of the 'Unvaccinated and the Fat'...(her words)
  25. I guess he would have saved money on a Birthday & Christmas presents for a growing number of dependents if he had kept Dick in his trouser pocket rather than left free to roam around the c..untry.
