I think this comment may have come from the ketamine infused Elon Musk who is very wealthy but worryingly rather odd

They should join forces. Truss will get the votes from the doddery old Tories who slobber over her big tits whilst Andrew Tate will appeal primarily to young disaffected white males who see him as the person they would really like to be with money and a way of treating women like shit.

Agree with your comment but at least China didnt align itself with Russia, North Korea, Belorussiya, and the like including our dear friends in the good old US of A in condemning Ukraine in the United Nations vote recently.

Patrick and Duncan, As a card carrying pessimist of many (many!!!) years standing, I am really heartened by your posts. The state of our club and the issues across the world, plus at my age, I seem to be going to far more funerals than weddings, makes me realise that there are many things to be concerned about for all you youngsters who post on here. In such challenging times, I reflect on our win at Wembley in 1976. I never, ever, expected the team I first supported in Division 3 South would ever get to Wembley, let alone win. When the final whistle went, an older chap in front of me raised his hands aloft and said 'Thank you Lord, you can take me now, thank you for answering my prayer'. I have no idea if he was religious but, to me, the gesture was relevant. We are not a big club and, as such, there will be times of despair, such as we are going through now. I really do hope that Sports Republic have our best interests at heart, have learned from their mistakes, which have been significant, and can guided us to a better future. UP THE SAINTS!!!!!!!!!

I really am amazed that we have sold out our 3,000 allocation for the Liverpool game. Fair play to all those who travel away to watch under underperforming group of soccerball players It seems there are only around 1,000 tickets remaining for the Wolves game. With prices in excess of £40, even a long standing supporter like myself would rather stay at home and miss the disappointment of another home thrashing

Agree. When you look at the number of disparaging and disrespectful comments Vance made about 'America's 'Hitler', (his comparison) makes your comment so perfect.

Despite the fact that Hungary has benefitted from EU membership and suffered a Russian invasion in 1956.

Mid table Championship Preston beat Burnley 3-0 in the FA Cup whereas our more or less full strength Prem side miserably lost to Burnley 1-0. Next year aint gonna be easy!!

Just looking back at my original post, I reckon the total weekly wage of our six 'strikers' is probably around £300,000k ie £15m a year. It is appreciated that two of them are having their wages offset by playing in the Championship but all that money being shelled out for the number of goals that can be counted on one hand!! For a combined £60m outlay and £150-£200k per week, the club could have signed a pretty decent striker although he would be living off scraps that would occasionally be provided by the midfield and wide players

Plenty of players, minimum quality. We all know this, of course, but just wasting my time reflecting on the shit show that has been accumulated by our wonderful talent spotting team ie GOALKEEPERS Ramsdale McCarthy, Lumley, Bazanu (Loan Out). RIGHT BACK KWP Bree, Sugawara LEFT BACK Welington Manning, Taylor, Larios (Injured) DEFENSIVE MIDFIELD Downes Ugochukwa (Loan In), Charles (Loan Out) CENTRAL DEFENCE Bednerak ABK, Stephens THB Wood, Edwards (Loan Out) WINGERS Sulemana Dibling, Fraser, Edioze (Loan Out) MIDFIELD Fernandes Aribo, Smallbone,Lallana, Gronbaek (Loan In). STRIKERS ?????? Tall Paul, Archer, BBD (Loan Out) Armstrong (Loan Out) Stewart (injured) So there are 34 players on this list to whom we are paying part or all of their weekly wage. Not included is the young French defender who we recently acquired for a not insubstantial sum to play for the U21's. I have put in bold the players who, in my humble opinion, should be in the starting line up but apart from Ramsdale and Fernandes all the rest of them are hobsons choice and even he couldn't decide which one, out of the £60m worth of talent, should be our main striker.

After a really poor start to the season under Russell Martin, I thought a change of Manager and style of play, whilst not saving us from the drop would, at least, see a steadying of the ship and perhaps the occasional improved display. As it is we have regressed to an even lower level of performance which would be even worse without the heroics of Ramsdale. Juric doesnt seem to have a clue how to set a team up and apart from Ramsdale and Fernandes each player has got worse. It is a punishment for most of us to go along to watch a Saints game nowadays and I dread to think what the score would be if the team went down to 10 men early on. The writing was on the wall, in my opinion, when we lost poorly at Oxford Utd in pre season but we were OK'ish until being beaten quite easily at Bournemouth. The 5-1 home defeat by Chelsea in December, followed by another 5 goal defeat, by Spurs, heralded the introduction of Juric who has basically made a bad situation even worse. It is telling that whenever I look at reports of Saints games in the media or on opponents web sites, opinions are broadly in line with Paul Merson's comments. The Chelsea fan's opinions that we were actually worse than Morecombe, a team that may be demoted to the National League next season, is testament to where we are. In all my years supporting Saints, there have been poor teams representing the club and a number of bad performances along the way. That said, never have I seen my team humiliated and outclassed over such a long period. I hung onto a thread that back in the Championship we should win more games than suffer losses. However we put out relatively strong teams v weakened Cardiff City, Stoke and Swansea team and a more or less first choice side against Burnley, who made a number of changes, but were beaten more significantly than the 1-0 result shows. The comparative feeling is comparable to finding out that you have been left a £1 million but a few months later the Tax Man sends a letter advising that there are £2m in back taxes outstanding. Going to St Marys is a akin to a punishment nowadays and all the euphoria from Wembley is nothing but a distant memory.

I have to admit I more or less paid for my season ticket last season after laying a decent bet on us to go down the last time we were in the Prem.

Apparently Trump has a 93% approval rate with Republicans and a 6% approval rate with Democrats

Things I am looking forward to next season. 1. The end of the shit show of this season which will be the worst in our history in relation to results. 2. Winning more games than losing (hopefully!!!) 3. Leaving St Marys without the joyous chants of away supporters ringing in my ears. 4. Two decent derby wins over our nearest rivals (please!!!!!!!!)

Spot on comment. I reckon he saved at least 4 certain goals added to the 3 in the previous game v Bournemouth. These were of the category of Shilton & Niemi. Wonder what the score would have been with our other 'keepers in goal. No chance of him being here next season. Just hope he has increased his value.

I feel vey sorry for those fans travelling to Stamford Bridge and Anfield

And for the second time in a row, Juric replaced Welington at Half Time

I looked on the comments section of the Leicester Mercury match reports. More or less the same feelings of desperation and disappointment as has been with us all for many months now, although I suspect that most of us have moved on to a feeling of inevitability. Mind you to lose AGAIN against both Leicester & Wolves would be a real kick in the nuts

On the Financial front wasn't Mervyn King. ex Governor of the Bank of England, a Saints fan as is Ken Bruce's son, although no financial connection there!!! -
Of course this is disgraceful and my heart goes out to the many innocent individuals in Gaza who have suffered terribly from Israel's retort to the Hamas attack. All that said, I wonder what my sympathetic response would have been in WW2, after experiencing bombing here, if I knew what Dresden and other German cities were experiencing. There also appears to be a 'fact' circulating on Social Media that the Israeli Govt knew about the impending Hamas attack and allowed it to proceed to give the green light to mass bombing in Gaza.

It does make you wonder if Trump was compromised during his time in Moscow and the Russians have evidence of it.

As i have mentioned before the Sunderland fans I have spoken to all reckon that Roscoe is the real deal (albeit at Championship level) when fit. It begs the question how many players have returned to full fitness after such a long time out of the game. With regard to Larios, I cant see him finding a place in the team if he ever regains a semblance of fitness.

Sad fact of life nowadays is I go the St Marys hoping that we can keep the goals against no more than 5. I find myself looking at the clock counting down the time to 90 mins + hoping there is a swift respite. Heaven help us if we went a couple of goals down early doors then have a player sent off.!!!!!!!!!
