Do you think that good looking and erudite Mr Westwood has a girlfriend? Someone has kindly commented that it is long overdue Mr Westwood being strung up on display
-
Worth considering that both Ted Bates and Lawrie Mac had their bad times when supporters were v unhappy However they were generally far more patient then and there was no Saints Forum etc. V disappointed (and concerned) about our current position but continuity and stability is v important

See his chiselled good looks are to go on tour of the UK as a prime example of Portsmouth manhood. Understand he has been spending time in London, with a dictionary, having his various tattoos spelled correctly In an Art Gallery near you soon chums!!

Was due to front up a meet with 150 Local Business Execs last night but was called away for an urgent business meet (I believe with Marcus Liebherr) Andy Oldknow deputised Don't suppose anyone has any idea what it was all about? Probably told him that more investment required after the game!! Mind you looking at Rovers team last night bet they have spent v little on transfers and their wage bill is less than ours,as is the case with most of our competitors this season!!
-
Richard Wright was immense for us the season before last Wasnt impressed with him v Newcastle on Saturday but better than the 3 we have in reserve
-
Messrs Cortese and Oldknow are hosting a meet with local business interests at the Bristol Rovs game on Tuesday. Good initiative to forge closer links between businesses (and casczading down to their employees) and SFC I doubt the Dark Lord could ever arrange this (in fact I heard about a top man at a major local company introducing himself to Mr Lowe at an away game 2 yrs ago and got blanked!!) Unfortunately the business man would have nothing to do with SFC after that

Is the 'Welcome to Pommpey' banner still on the flyover in Havant, or wherever? PUP (Pay up Pompey) However moral high ground does change quickly.Pompey to draw/win v Everton. We struggle against Carlisle and, for the moment, things change Unlikely that we could better their arrest total in Carlisle tho (thankfully)

Think CHo may have been over in Spain with the new owner watching an International Chess match Apparently Mr Al Fahim was once rated No 5 Chess player in the whole wide world!!
-
Just watched a programme on Stadium disasters and it featured the new stadium being built in Valencia 73,000 capacity. Central city location How are they financing this? What about congestion? Any one have any info. Separately notice the Nou Camp is increasing capacity to 110,000!!

According to The News. 1,000 tickets for the Everton game to be given away free to well behaved children in Portsmouth. Bless.....

Pompey have sold 430 for tonights game. Reasonabl total I'd say

What's the general view on here. Should illegal drugs be made legal and available thro controlled outlets with profits going to back into the community rather than drug barons? Would this lead to more usage or would some people move onto more bizarre drugs just because they weren't controlled?
-
I'm so thankful that I have never had to nerve, or the will, to take anything but alcohol (in moderation) but then I was lucky to be brought up at a more gentle time and within a stable family group. I wonder how many people taking certain illegal drugs ever think about the wider ramifications eg drug wars at home and abroad, incl Afganistan? Not being moralistic here, just interested.

They have been there for some time. Most of them look scrappers to me. One of them had a boulder chucked thro the windscreen which was new damage but you would have had to look close to notice
-
According to the Portsmouth News over 6,000 turned up at a book signing by the global super star Peter Andre. Some ladies actually queued up overnight to meet their hero. Shows that class acts can attract big crowds down Pompey way.

where they parked off road and had bodywork damage too?

Dear old Corps hasn't posted for a while but still keeps up to date viewing the site. Any one know what our favourite poster is up to? Could it be anything to do with Ramadan or perhaps he is busy spawning?

Steve There is a link on another thread which gives a full breakdown of Storrie-Tellers meet weith the Pompey Supporters Groups where this anecdote was mentioned

Go to Lancashiretelegraph.co.uk. Click on sport then the Blackburn Rovers badge. Interesting to see all the competition clubs in this area have, especially with the 4 big Liverpool/Manchester clubs close by. Also a feature on Bolton targeting the Blackburn area offering up cheap price tickets
-
If anyone's interested in how Football Finance works, and an honest appraisal by a club Chairman, have a look at the article by the Blackburn Rovers Chairman in online site for the Lancashire Telegraph. Just confirms how much players wages are affecting club finances. Surprised to find Blackburn have sold 18,500 season tickets

Thats what I heard from a v good source who also told me that Ray Wilkins was being lined up as No2. The latter surprised me as I thought he was well established at Chelsea. However I am sure the person meant to say Dean Wilkins as this actually occurred. If this was the actual course of events, question is was Dean Wilkins Pardew's appointment or did he 'inherit' him?

NC I try v hard to keep a balanced view on Mr Lowe but having been in his company when he was extremely rude to someone at St Mary's, for no apparent reason, perhaps my view is rather tainted. I do accept he may have possessed business skills which would have been useful if he not been quite so egocentric. One thing that I have not been able to get my head around from last season was the signing of Morgan Schneiderlin for a reported £1m when we were supposedly bust. I also query the Forcast/Pulis signings but understand these may be tied in with Davies and Bale transfers but never explained as such. Also the charade at the AGM when dear Rupert read out the anonymous letter of support was not the action of an individual with all his marbles intact.

Ottery Well done that man. Think Bob Charles was runner up on the cap front

Apparently Thomas was interesting Stoke at the time but they weren't prepared to pay Burnley more than £400k. Imagine Steve Cotterell's delight when our dear departed Mr Burley offered £1m+. Grasp the cheque, bank the £600k+ before someone changes their mind and get Clarke Carlisle in for £400k who helped Burnley get up to the Prem. 'In George we trust'!!!
