Talking Tactics: Koeman gives Saints fans reasons to be cheerful
Stubby replied to pap's topic in The Saints
How about "Poch was good, RK might be better"? -
I was among those who kept hoping Gaston would come good for us. Right now, in the light of the business they've done recently, I trust the management that they had good reasons to loan him out. The club might just be in the best state it's ever been.
-
Good to see you're not intolerant at all.
-
Perhaps because people who are not racists are being branded as racists on the flimsiest of evidence, and their jobs are being threatened for no good reason. Perhaps because some people want to silence anybody who sees things differently from them.

You can't really believe that Jeremy Clarkson is the only person to have got into trouble with the thought police for saying something "offensive, racist, homophobic or misogynistic "?
-
I hope and expect that Jeremy Clarkson will not be sacked, because that would be an over-reaction. If everybody who might have said one word that many find offensive were to be sacked, we would all be out of a job. This kind of witch hunt does nobody any good.

Thanks for this reply, pap. I'm not offended by the fact that you don't believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and I appreciate that you're not offended by the fact that I do. I just don't like it when anybody's sincere and deeply-held beliefs are described as "mumbo jumbo".
-
Any position of power or leadership brings the opportunity to abuse that position. The fact that some leaders of churches have grossly abused their position does not make the movement a bad thing, any more than the fact that some political and business leaders have abused their positions make their parties or businesses bad things. And I happen to think Jesus is the Son of God. "Mumbo jumbo" is unnecessarily offensive.
-
Hoping anybody gets cancer, dies and rots in hell is obviously a total travesty of what Jesus taught. For anybody to describe themselves a Christian while saying such a thing makes no sense whatsoever. Please don't allow a few loonies to give you a negative understanding of what Christianity is. Every movement has a few loonies in it.

A religion, or the absence of a religion, is part of a person's value system. To demand that religion stays out of politics would mean anybody with any views on religion should not be a politician. That seems a bit extreme. And I would have thought that demanding that religious affiliation be declared by political candidates is one way to increase the effect of religion on politics.

Really? Not anyone? Are you sure?
-
You forgot AND 'lives in Somerstown/Paulsgrove'. I do wonder how many people on the website in question tick ALL those boxes, if any.
-
Yes, everybody who drives a white van, and everybody who votes for UKIP, enjoys torching a paediatrician's car, and just loves it when a footballer is injured. On the other hand, some of them can even spell "paediatrician".
-
But at least they wanted to win the cup.

I wasn't aware that city councils could sell land for an undisclosed sum. Local democracy at its finest.

For me, Gaston is playing better than JWP at the moment.
-
I think you're confusing Jude the Obscure with the Mayor of Casterbridge.
-
So "exigent". in fact. OK. Sorry I just wasn't sure what he meant but I think I get it now.
-
"over exigent"?
-
The memory plays tricks but, for me, he's even better than Niemi. Perhaps less spectacular but more solid.
-
If he can't play either up front or in midfield, why had he just been picked for England?
