  1. I'm not convinced that all our players are as bad as people make out. I'm sure some of our underperforming players have a bad attitude, but I would guess that others are just demotivated by the chaos, laziness and negativity around them. I don't think the average fan knows which players are in which category. I just hope the management - such as it is - identifies those with bad attitudes and moves them on, while trying their best to keep the others to build some team spirit for next season.
  2. The players worked hard second half. Playing for the manager?
  3. Still can't find the press conference on the club website. How bad was it?
  4. Our greatest need right now is for a defensive midfielder until Lavia returns. Perhaps we could try Salisu there.
  5. Just watched it again. Bednarek was excellent.
  6. Play Tino at right wing?
  7. Redmond was OK first half, terrible second half. Ralf should have put on more subs earlier than he did - not for the first time. As soon as we conceded, he made two subs that changed the game and could have prevented the goal. Still - three points!
  8. I hope we put out the strongest possible team. Right now we need a win - any win.
  9. I wasn't there, and I don't know any Millwall fans. But I wouldn't be totally shocked if some of them booed just because taking the knee has become very boring.
  10. Sky gave MoM to Ings. I'd give it to Romeo. He was superb tonight. Vestergaard also excellent. You can't play good footy against Burnley, but we did make them look very poor. A proper professional; away performance against a big ugly team. Well done!

I've been a bit reluctant to get involved in this thread because it generates much more heat than light, but I will say this: a statement put out on behalf of all players does not represent the views of all players.
  12. Top man. Well deserved.
  13. Did I hear Mark Hughes say we shouldn't score a goal against City because it might make them angry?
  14. All the forwards seem to be lacking confidence. I'd pick a forward line and tell them they've all got a run of maybe 6 games. Maybe they'd get to know each other's play better, maybe they'd relax a bit and take a chance or two, and then maybe their confidence would return. Perhaps consistency of selection is more important right now than who we pick but I'd include Gabbi and Ings because they both clearly have talent.
  15. I laughed
  16. Hoijberg
  17. Gabbiandini was a goal scorer when he came. What have we done to him?
  18. Because our other players are better at playing to Austin's strengths than to Gabbiadini's. Gabbiadini is a first-class player and we should do all we can to build our attack around him.
  19. Yes, because we're paying so badly, self-belief seems to have drained away, and several players are giving significantly less than 100% at the moment. But I believe we have a squad that's good enough to be solid mid-table if they were led, coached and motivated well.
  20. I'd like to see Austin and Gabbiadini in the same team.
  21. But we've been failing to get enough men into the box for a long time. Puel should have addressed the problem by now.
  22. He brought in some of the most exciting players I've seen here.
  23. Bates McMenemy Koeman Strachan Souness Pearson Ball You have to look at the difficulties they faced as well as the results they achieved.
  24. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks so, but I thought both Pelle and Long did OK. They didn't get great service, and they didn't always know where the other was, but individually they worked hard and made the best of the service they got. The main problem was how slow we were to move the ball forwards.
  25. I like Shane Long but I don't think he would have won that header.
