  1. I'm glad you see it as a win win situation, but as a parent of Sophie who was in coma for 9 months, and still in hospital after some runt decided to play catchy catchy with an 18 tonne truck, I take your view of disabled wheelchair users to heart and hope that one of them seeks you out and decides to insert a urinary catheter the wrong way and backfills your bladder, screaming OWTS!! Sophie used to sing at the top of her voice, because she's in a wheelchair does that negate her from ever trying again?
  2. I am bit stuffed as well. As most of you know Sophie (accident 2007, in program for Birmingham game) I was hoping to take her, but as I am on the database and she's not and she would be the payee and I 'the carer' she cant go!! Kids are gutted as well, as we managed to get the whole family to the last Man Utd game at St Mary's. It makes a big difference to her! Maybe the letter from Sir Alex to come and meet her 'next time he is down', just put the kiss of death on that one!!
  3. Victor Chandler have just stopped accepting bets on Nigel Adkins who was 3/11 on to take the job after O'Neill rallied this morning to evens favourite and now out at 8/1. Sky Bet are the only other bookie accepting bets with Adkins at 1/2 and O'Neill out at 4/1. Brown still in with a shout at 2/1. Who knows!! I would expect a PR imminently but as some of you mentioned ol' NC will probably do it at 12:01 in the morning!
  4. Yeah, your probably right, but some money has been put on J Kenna this afternoon whose come up from about 20/1 to 8/1. Obviously his mum, but still in with a shout!

  6. Can't figure out PM' ing so here it is info@saintsfc.com and yes I joint own the saintsfc.com domain and in a separate post will be looking for match writers to get the site backup and running the SaintsFC FanZone...for the New Year with lots of features...
  7. Many Thanks for your kind comments. You have to be the best supporters!! As an aside does anyone have good quality recordings of the crowd chants. We have attempted this off the Club Media but have met with a "silent" response. We are trying to work out if Sophie can distinguish general chants or does indeed recognise her teams supporters. Its a bit of an experiment but the repercussions could be huge for her... Many Thanks..
  8. Just to let you all know that Sophie has been transferred from Bath Neuro Rehabilitation to a specialist intensive place in Bournemouth. She has made outstanding progress in Bournemouth under the new regime and regularly (when she can) listens to all the Saints news, and her sisters regularly read out whats on here to her. She spoke her first word a few weeks ago and is loving the attention. She has been back to St Mary's and was at the Gillingham game (4-1) but found it very tiring after her recent blip where the family nearly lost her. She has recovered very well. They are now in the gruelling legal process to get her the compensation she deserves and needs, to cater for her future care and to be able to bring her home. The family are finding it a strain but they are hopeful of bringing Sophie home for christmas. They are also hopeful of getting Sophie to more games in the New Year but seating her at the front causes her more complications in the cold and wet, so I believe someone is trying to negotiate for her to use one of the empty boxes, but this is reaching dead ends, ever hopeful... Once again the family would like to thank you all for all the excellent support you have given a fellow Saints fan. Thank You
  9. Oh look they have gone 4-2-2, pointless need to force the goals down their neck! Someone send Pardew a guest account for this forum...
  10. Good Point, lets just say I meant a DEFINITE 4-3-3! 3 STRIKERS not midfielders cum strikers
  11. This is a game where we should be going for it 4-3-3 and getting confidence and experience for our less played strikers alongside the regulars. We should be bombarding the box 2nd half. 4-5-1 against torquay, completely the wrong strategy...
  12. Says it all doesn't it? Football League quote: "We appreciate the professionalism and commitment that they have shown during these negotiations. In particular, they should be commended for agreeing the deal in a very tight timeframe and for being the first potential purchaser to have everything in place to take the club forward."
  13. Just a financial worth comparison, nothing more. Would never want a Tom Hicks type investing in Saints, which is what I believe some of the others would have been, as they were all investment vehicles, or speaking for persons/vehicles of wealth.
  14. His worth is 3 billion euros, which is worth 2.5 billion pounds. Thats just his personal worth. Tom Hicks (aka Liverpool) is worth 1.4 billion dollars. Which means Markus is roughly 3 times richer than Mr Hicks. I am loving this . . . (Hope I got the billions right on the short scale that is)
  15. Sophie had a fab day, and has only just woke up after her gruelling session. The biggest smile came across her face as Perry's goal came in as well as listening to Tom hurling abuse at McFadden. Three of the players came out afterwards to see her, McGoldrick, Surman, and Holmes who spent a long time chatting to her and the family. Holmes was particularly interested in all her re-habilitation and the therapy she goes through, it was very touching. The manager then came out and seemed very moved by her and spent a while holding her hand and looking into her eyes, we weren't sure if he was going to burst into tears, but it was nice.. Michael Wilde even came out for a long chat to make sure everything was OK. Needless to say McCleish just stared and walked past the ba******* Thanks to everyone for your support...
  16. Cheers A win would be some present to us today of all days!!!
  17. I'll be there at 1 with my daughter and son waiting for Sophie to arrive from Bath with my wife and other daughter. Mixed emotions, but looking forward to having the whole family together for the game. C'Mon you REDS !!!!!
  18. Was that aimed at Sophie or me?
  19. Her middle name is parys [pronounced paris], so you could use " Theres only one Sophie-Parys" Her surname is wilkinson, so not sure how you would fit that in... or similar to marion pahars, marion, ohhhh, ma.....etc I'll let you guys get inventive.. ta
  20. A quick message to say thanks to all the users who donated to Sophies Gift. To those that were interested, Sophie is still minimally aware but responding extremely well to Saints chants, and private messages to her from David McGoldrick, James Beattie and Antti Niemi. So it has been decided to bring her to the Saints game this Saturday against Birmingham. Southampton FC have been extremely helpful in facilitating this. She is being well looked after and the rehabilitation is progressing extremely well. She managed to whisper her brother Toms name a few weeks ago. Some of you mentioned that you would chant her name, it would be very interesting to see her response if this does in fact happen. Andrew
