  1. OK what about Play Offs
  2. Doesn't seem to be a very good argument to me. The youngsters were not good enough for the Premiership and Lowe only worked with Burley for a few months
  3. I agree with you but with the Forum Down I was logging on to the Echo Site and there was a great deal of comment about not going to St Mary's whilst Lowe is there. But any negativity surely will eventually affect the players and I thought Wilde's Interview came across quite well.
  4. Yes I agree but I cannot really understand this hatred to wards Lowe it seems ridiculous and I am sure is having a bad affect on SFC as some fans are boycotting St Mary's
  5. I dont understand how this demonstrates that this man has changed not one iota, and accepts not a jot of responsibility for the clubs' present state. Please can you explain as I do not fully understand why Lowe is hated so vehmently.

    First 3 games.

Lets say six points by the end of August would be an OK start
  7. Yes I was there in 1974 too when we drew 1 1 at the Milton Road End but I dont really understand the other contents of the post. I know it is usually the manager gets fired when relegation occurs but blaming the Chairman soley appears bizarre to me. I am fed up of all this discussion of Lowe it is the team and the future we should be discussing not the past.
  8. I think you started the Anti Lowe thread With your first post which rather annoyed me. I dont care one way or another about Lowe but I do get fed up up with all the negative posts I dont think he was soley responsible for our relegation . However we got relegated that is football and we should live with it and not constantly harping on about what could have been.
  9. I agree Lowe failed to keep us in the Premiership but I dont think he really failed in running the football club but that is only my opinion as if he had not invested heavily in the Academy where would we be now. I also agree that Wilde failed miserably in his role of Football Chairman. I dont know how long you have been watching the Saints but I was at Goodison Park in 1974 when we got relegated witl Lawrie in Charge and with a reasonable squad of players I think we were sixth at Christmas but Bob Wilson saved a Channon penalty on Boxing Day and we never recovered. Lawrie was not hounded and called a failure he was left to get on with the job we won the Cup and got promoted . So I think we should give both Lowe and Wilde the benefit of the doubt and continue supporting the Saints with out putting the blame onto anybody with regard to our current situation.
  10. You could of course look at the situation in a different way. Michael Wilde who is probably pretty clever and successful thought after relegation that because of the hatred held against Lowe by many of the fans that he could do a better job. This of course proved not to be the case although large numbers of fans were please that he had ousted Lowe. With the club failing miserably both on and off the field as the major shareholder he decided something had to be done and getting Lowe involved seemed to be a reasonable approach. He and Lowe have put a plan together which needs our total support and that I think is behind his statement which seems quite reasonable and sensible to me.
  11. I thought I would have a post on the new forum. Dont care about Lowe one way or the other looking forward to the season. I think we will do better a lot better than last season if not I will support Saints in Div 1 and then look forward to better times
