The real solution to winning games regularly in the PL is to have a team of decent players strangely this has happened in the past but with this current squad and a strike force of Armstrong and Diaz it is just not going to happen.

What do think of Chelsea buying up the better players and not playing them Apparently Chelsea have a squad of forty or so players most on high wages including Sterling who would do a great job for us but not on £120000 a week

I agree with the point you are making but Bazunu and Larious are injured and not PL standard yet and Lavia has been sold

I agree Gao did not invest much but it was Sports Repulic which spent millions on players who never performed well and got us relegated

Very true we used to be a club where good young players game hoping to develop and move on to a bigger club

No one is shitting the bed the squad is poor and is likely to be relegated like most teams which are promoted from the championship Our recruitment has been dreadful since we sold VVD

There is nothing positive to say I have been following Saints for over sixty years and this squad is dire with no outstanding players

I often meet Saints fans although I do not live near Southampton they all seem quite positive and hardly ever moan unlike members of this forum. Apart from a nephew I have never met another forum member. I also support Hampshire at cricket and it is a much better experience as we are one of the best and regularly experience success and it costs very little

I think you have missed the point I was trying to make Although Charlie Taylor is a PL player he like Jack is probably not top class as I have never heard of him I like Jack and I think he has been an asset to the club but in my opinion he has been a first choice CB

He maybe a PL player but so is Jack Stephens and how many had heard of him before he joined us
