Good to hear paulwantsapint. I sincerely hope that these middle aged "hoodlums" are made an example of and sentenced to the maximum term. I know that that won't be very long, given the bloomin' PC nature of this country (we can't go around upsetting the criminals and pikeys can we?) but the best we can hope for is that they are badly bummed whilst inside. I don't think 5 years is long enough for this sort of scum. People might not think they've done a great deal wrong, but the truth of the matter is these people, if out in society, will reoffend like the habitual criminals they are. Society would be a better place if they were sent away for as long as possible. Whilst they are in prison we will also benefit by them not being able to reproduce and have kids who would undoubtedly grow up to be trouble makers themselves. With such poor role models as parents, these offspring would be the sort to cause triuble at school, intimidate elderly people and rob shops to buy money for drugs. The world will be a better place without the children of these scum polluting the planet and ruining it for the rest of us. The law breakers who are going to get sent down deserve their punishment and should just accept it like men, not start whining and crying for their mummies. If they can't handle prison then they should think carefully before breaking the law. And if they can't control their idiotic behaviour, then, returning to my origianl point, maybe it would be best for everyone involved, them, their families and society as w whole, if they just topped themselves whilst in prison.

+1 I can't think of anyone better than TDD to be a mod. His even handed approach to the board and constant positivity would be a real bonus. He's a man who says what he thinks, although this is often phrased in questions. It would be a welcome change to have a mod who has some intelligence and I think TDD would lift the average IQ and level of understanding of all manner of issues.

In the past when this has happened to me I have answered the phone in a low voice/whisper, a little breathless and nervous and claimed to have just escaped from the cellar where I have been held captive for at least 3 years and have been brutally sexually violated. I then agree to buy stuff off them if they come and rescue me. Depending on the tone of the person on the other end of the line I then sometimes pretend my captor has just come in through the front door and then pretend to be the captor, shouting things like "how did you get out" and "who are you speaking to". I then act as if a scuffle is taking place and then clamp shut some handcuffs (I tried to get hold of a bear trap, but couldn't find one on ebay) and say "it'll be another 3 years before you get to see daylight again" and "all this struggling has made me really hard". I suggest you do that.
