  1. Has there been 17,000 posting this then? I thought the forum had been a lot slower.
  2. All resigned. Two blokes from Begbies appointed. Solent playing "The miracle song" by Supertramp. Irony?
  3. Hope its not Groundhog Day!!
  4. "Odd"???? Thats tantamount to a criticism. It really is April Fools day.
  5. Or, they supported Chelski, Arsenal, Spurs et al and went in the hope that Saints might cause an upset. I, myself, purchased about 20 tickets for friends and their kids, most of whom never or can't attend premier league matches. Nickh you keep trotting this same tired out dog of an excuse every other week and it needs to be put down for ever. Just because people didnt cheer a ManUre goal dosent automatically make them a Saints fan and they wont be turning up any day soon unless the "product" improves. And will someone tell 19 beast that Birmingham was the 1st game this season!!
  6. Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha. Thanks for that Ari. I needed a good laugh. Or were you referring to the Real team at the same time, that couldnt score in a brothel and got Schuster sacked in the autumn.
  7. I really miss ol' Saints News Update. Whatever happened to him? And Mr Fartypants?
  8. Sorry to disagree, David, but the signings this season (Size excepted) have been utter toilet and the person/persons responsible should quit football totally. The standard of our "squad" is so poor, that people on here are rightly gutted that Gillett, who in any other season wouldn't have got near the bench let alone play regularly, is out for the season. The fact that we are not below Charlton, is down to the 3 game blip, where we actually created some chances and took them and before that, due to Kelvin Davis winning us a few draws with inspired displays.
  9. Do you have to go to uni for 5 years and work in an office for 2 to be that big a pedant?
  10. Marsh-Brown turned out for Winchester last saturday. Thats quite a drop from HCDAJFU. 6 levels.
  11. I think I'm colourblind where's the damned light grey.
  12. Neither did the legend that was Steve Baker.
  13. I heard a take over rumour last Friday and had a good laugh at it. As I had just gone over the 100 post mark (which was declared last year as the absolute minimum for repeating such guff!) I thought about sharing, but decided to spare myself the abuse. I then heard it again at Eastleigh's game on Saturday, from an entirely different source with contacts closer to the club. I am assured this has nothing todo with Jonathan Falsehope.
  14. I was 8 and was drenched behind Archers goal with my Dad when Leicester went 3-1 up with 5 to go. As the footy special buses that used to park at the bottom of Northlands Rd had a nasty habit of leaving before the final whistle, we legged it early. As we later got off the bus in Swaythling, we met our neighbour who laughed about a 5-1 stuffing. We had no idea and when he said the goalie had got the last one I kicked my Dad in the leg for making me miss it. Shilts was only 17 and it was one of his first games for Leicester and no-one here had heard of him! I had to wait for Monday's "Day By Day" to see the goal from that ****y little camera they used to stick on the roof of the West Stand. Campbell Forsyth was in goal, having come back fom a year out with a broken leg. We had sold McLaren that summer having earlier signed Eric Martin. I asked Shilts about it when he was here and he was genuinely embarresed about it and said it had caught a freak gust of wind and then skidded over Forsyth. Also remember that whilst he was (IMHO) our greatest ever keeper, he kicked like a girlie.
  15. Still sneaking on after work, Nik. Holman told me about your 2new best mate."
  16. Just goes to show how far we have sunk, when the loss of someone as poor as Gillett brings that response.
  17. See post no. 11 on this thread.
  18. This weeks "Big Match Revisited" showed him playing for 'Boro with..... Hair!! Well some anyway.
  19. So which of those are you owning up to, Dunc? Only joking! See you at Ten Acres.
  20. Norwich showed how bad Brum were last Saturday.
  21. Posted this earlier on this thread. I'm assuming Art refers to Billy Davies, but Dexter?
  22. We do a bike ride pub crawl every summer. Used to go by train to places like Oxford, Chichester, Weymouth and go from there. Bloody trains now cant take 15-20 bikes so we are stuck going local. Can be quite dangerous by evening time!
  23. Please explain?? Are you mixing Dexter up with Leon Best and his o.g/missed penalty performance?
  24. I was trying to work out how a new thread had got over 400 replies in the hour I had been out.
