  8. Mitchell lbw Cork 5th ball 0-1
  9. 159 all out. Also keep an eye on Lancashire. Being taken apart by Trescothick atm. 23 points for us and we will be level and with a game in hand. Damn! He's out for102 but Somerset are 200-1.
  10. It may of been news to you, Nick. But it was well known round here at the time. I wasn't on this forum then so couldn't enlighten you. I'm also aware of his after-hours visit to my local, after an escape from an incident at a niteclub, before the police showed. The then landlord, who is a friend of mine, has dined out onthe story since. Sorry, no photos.
  11. Out of talk your arse you.
  12. Peter Reid to Stoke? Phew! That was close.
  13. I said "lack of form in the CC" not the 20/20. He was even dropped last month.
  14. They had to name an initial squad of 30 for the Champions Trophy which he was in. This was then reduced to 15 last week and he didn't make the cut. Whilst I would love to see him playing today, you do have to take into account the bowling standards he has scored against and his lack of form in the CC. Notts excepted. Could he do it against Brett Lee and Johnson?
  15. Not won it yourself then?
  16. Hope they will spend the time teaching Lallana how to kick a ball.

No, it was Ted MacDougall. I was there and it was Fulham fans who had been in our section all game, who started it. They were on a revenge trip after a kicking in the Archers end 4 weeks earlier. The police were between us and the Chelsea hordes and they came in to stop the original scrap, but in doing so, let the Chelsea in. The last 15 mins was all about self preservation, not helped by Chelsea scoring 3.
  18. This was the crap I was referring to. People rejoiced at the signings in midweek and they haven't played yet. But still the wrist slitting continues.

Apart from the fact that there were several hundred outside without tickets and when the senile old twot of a steward made his way down from the chocky box and opened the Milton Road exit gate at 4.20, despite everyone screaming at him to leave it shut. Never mind. I was told later that nothing much happened in that last 20 mins as we quickly made friends with our Northern cousins!
  20. But yesterday's squad was actually weaker than the previous weeks. No Saga. No Murty and neither of the deadline signings. If we are to believe that they will drastically improve the side, why are people getting so worked up before they have kicked a ball in anger. We were carp last weekend and (surprise, surprise) we still are.
  21. You think? Therefore, you don't know, but still feel the need to share your undoubted wisdom with us.
  22. Fred Kemp was born in Salerno, but I don't know of any other Italian born 1st team players.
  23. This was from his "Bursledon Green" days and he played occasionally for our evening league cricket team. I rest my case, made earlier.
  24. Ask MLT. I expect he's rigged it.
  25. My only disappointment is that he didn't tell my mate, who was his next-door neighbour at the time, so as we could have had a piece of it as well. I thought the teams current form had provoked an "over the top" reaction on here, but it dosen't bear any comparison to this thread. The worry is that some of these posters might actually be serious. They must live very sheltered lives.
