  1. Are you sure.
  2. Little Big Time, with Freddie Garrity. He of Freddie and the Dreamers fame. Series started in 1969 and they came to Mansbridge school to film the trailers. Modesty forbids mentioning who starred in it. Although I never did get my Equity Card.
  3. He's cup-tied having played for Eastleigh in the last two rounds. HTH.
  4. Only because he hasn't played more.
  5. I think you might be thinking about the Arsenal home game, Xmas 66. he scored at the Milton by beating the goalie, Jim Furnell, to the ball and it went in off his shoulder.
  6. Grocer Jack was in fact, Excerpts From a Teenage Opera by Keith West.
  7. Bad Lieutenant. Its New Order without the bass and the best thing Bern has done since Electronic.
  8. Round my way in the late sixties, to be called a "Melia" was the biggest insult going. Kids would run off home in tears to the taunts of "Mee-le-yah!!".
  9. Can you remember Matty running crazily after the ball for the first 2 minutes.
  10. Played well when played in the center of midfield and only lost his place when away with England U19. Certainly not a wide player, but hey! send him packing, no ones going to be injured or suspended.
  11. Eric used to live in Ethelburt Avenue in a club owned house. Ken Wimshurst lived in it before. We used to take Eric's old english sheepdog for walks.
  12. I remember him batting at the County Ground and going back for a 2nd against Andy Roberts' throw. He realised he was in trouble and threw himself full length but was run out by a couple of yards. Diving for the crease wasn't the done thing and also the pitches were a lot damper then. Net result was that he was walking back to the pavilion, covered in mud, with his cap worn almost backwards and the crowd giving him an hysterical ovation. He stopped. Took his cap off and bowed. He was also the best umpire I have seen.
  13. As I dont expect us to catch them, I am now in the bizzare situation of wanting them to win these matches, so as to bug ger up the oppo. Tonight was a case in point as we don't want The Gasheads getting any confidence before the Friday Night Revenge Tour.
  14. 7.00 Straight after Pick of the Pops with Alan "Fluff" Freeman. Allright.
  15. Essex = Slappers. I'll get my stereotypical coat.
  16. That was Norman Dean! He has just retired and the Echo ran a feature about him.
  17. Unfortunate choice of words, in the light of Nick's history of infractions.
  18. For a weekend of gay porn? I tried to reply on the "Infraction" thread, butwas too late.
  19. Played for Taunton's 2ndXI 74-76. It was Hampshire Police @ Bishops Waltham. The ground now has housing on it. Also Post Office, HM Customs @ Civil Service Ground. 17 Port Reg (Who did a march through the City last week in honour of serving in Afghanistan) Woolston Wednesday, La Sainte Union, RAPC Worthy Down. There were at least another 4 which I can't recall, but the Cup comp was the Travers Cup. It was a very good standard with lots of Hampshire League ( equivilant now of Southern League) players. Saints used to put a "B" team out in the sixties who played at the BTC like the "A" team did on Saturdays.
  20. Punched a bus shelter after the Luton promotion game 1978 and split my knuckle open.
  21. Including Bobby Moore. Twice.
  22. You've caught me at a bad time. Why don't you pi ss off? New Order - Your Silent Face
