  1. Will be rotation, but I don’t think we will see any new academy faces, apart from maybe on the bench: —————-——Gunn———————- -Valery-Vestergaard-Yoshi-Bertrand- -Boufal-Højbjerg-Romeu-Djenepo— ————Adams——-Long————— Subs: Lewis, Stephens, Ramsey, Slattery, Prowse, Redmond, Obafemi.
  2. People complaining about Ings not playing are living on another planet. He has a poor track record of serious injury, we can’t play him in every game over Xmas/New Year. Very reasonable selection from Ralph imo.
  3. BREAKING DEADLINE DAY NEWS - Saints wrap up new 3 year deal for Cedric.
  4. I still don’t understand why he was the priority ahead of a Centre-Back. I get we had issues going forward, but defence has been consistently our worst area since Puel left. We spent £14m on Adams (a bit of a luxury purchase) and then had to loan in a CB as we had run out of money. Moronic.
  5. The branding is ****e, but the philosophy of the Red Bull project is admirable and roughly in line with what we used to aim for.
  6. Just as long as they aren’t out with Claus.
  7. Casual reminder for opposition voters that the only way to stop Boris Johnson tomorrow is to vote tactically. The polls show that if Labour, Lib Dem and Green voters co-ordinate effectively then the Conservatives will not get a majority. **** the party leaders attempts to hatchet each other, we have to be smarter. Fly my pretties!
  8. Give them Forster and Elyounoussi in return for Kristoffer Ajer and Jeremie Frimpong?
  9. *Wasted final post of the day highlighting my ****e grammar.
  10. It’s so at odds with logic that I actually wonder if it’s a lot of the labour supporters are actually Conservative plants trying to split the opposition vote in a favourable way (and working very well imo). If Labour ever want a majority again then it’s actually the SNP they need to beat. Quite how they go about doing that though I have no idea. A poor Lib Dem showing is the difference between a hung parliament and a Conservative majority.
  11. Anyone else noticed the utterly bizarre levels of aggression from Labour supporters towards the Lib Dem’s in this election? Seeing a lot of ‘We need to draw the vote away from the Lib Dem’s to win’. They do realise that they actually need the Lib Dem’s to do well in the rural South to have any chance of beating the Conservatives right? Do they even know how First Past the Post works?
  12. Na his own personal performance was below par in that case. Any increase in cheating can be halted by changes to guidelines, this is more down to the quality of officiating and the quality of those in charge of the rules than anything else. Video tech is becoming another irrational scapegoat, once it is scrapped it wont return. What will be our answer to the ****e quality of officiating then?
  13. Atkinson in general had an absolutely dire game, it was almost worthy of investigation it was that bad. I mean you have to also consider the implications of that red card beyond just the game. Son will possibly be blaming himself for that injury now when he shouldn't be. It also increased the volatility of the crowd towards him and he will no doubt be spammed with death threats and the like on social media. It was seemingly altered to a red on a flippant illogical whim. Its not as if he couldn't refer to the technology if he was uncertain. As for VAR, it needs to remain. The issue is the guidelines and the quality of the officials reviewing, that will improve over time. That penalty non decision was a right mess though.
  14. Whilst I don't think JWP is having a great time, I don't think he is the first offender in midfield. Hoj has clearly been consistently the worst performer in that area imo, in fact outside of our centre backs I think he has been our worst player by some distance. Also JWP is still ok at right wing, I emphasise 'ok', but still better than some of our other players in their 'favoured' positions.

  16. Are people sure that its Hoj at left back? Didn't Djenepo play LWB against Liverpool?
  17. I was thinking; ————————McCarthy————————- ——Stephens-Vestergaard-Yoshida———— -Cedric———————————--Djenepo—- ——————Slattery-Romeu ©————— —Armstrong——Adams———-Boufal——- Subs; Lewis, Danso, Valery, Højbjerg, Prowse, Obafemi, Long. Although Slattery playing last night probably rules him out, in which case Højbjerg in. Can’t see Ralph risking Bertrand or Ings (can’t see Ings playing more than one game a week ever). Adams in ahead of Long and Obafemi to try and build confidence.
  18. Hes good when played in the correct position. He has never played RWB well and I have no idea why he is there when we have Cedric.
  19. I'm glad someone could like that, made me cringe intensively. Much less that 'We are Souuutthhhaammppttoonnn though', that made me want to launch myself down the stairwell. Fulham head out to Palladio which is infinitely better as an epic intro. I am forever jealous of Man United supporters seeing their team walk out to 'This is the One' by The Stone Roses. Would like it if the club could steal a song from a Southampton based band for entry music, dont know of a song that would suffice though.
  20. Wigan in the FA Cup Quarter-Finals, that was a botched attempt to give us Man City away though. We used to get a few when we were in the lower leagues, pretty sure I remember playing Bury (RIP) and Yeovil at home. Since we have been in the Prem we had an almost traditional fixture against Northampton away and we gimped MK Dons. Recently its been very mediocre though. Had all fingers crossed for Forest Green (**** off Bompey) or Skates.
  21. Giving the side the benefit of the doubt for now and hopefully that will ultimately prove to be a freak opening day result, as does happen. Indicators are that we haven't addressed any of the faults from last season though, which isn't a major surprise given the lukewarm transfer window. Still an unacceptable result and performance, however if anyone can extract a performance out of this turd its Ralph.
  22. Oh dear Maths.... I don’t think Barnes will get any first team time so loan or more Under 23 time. Equally as much as I like Hesketh I just don’t see how he fits into the squad. So probably loan or sale. I’m hoping that Carrillo to Boca gets over the line.
  23. GK: Gunn, McCarthy, Forster, Lewis CB Bednarek, Vestergaard, Yoshida, Stephens, Klarer* RB: Valery*, Cedric, Ramsey* LB: Bertrand, Vokins*, McQueen (when back from injury) CM: Højbjerg, Romeu, Reed, Slattery* AM: Ward-Prowse, Redmond, Boufal, Djenepo*, Armstrong, Sims FWD: Ings, Adams, Long, Obafemi* 23 Over 21's so far assuming that Hoedt, Lemina, Elyounoussi and Austin wont be part of things 7 Under 21's CB is still the glaring position.
  24. Is that seriously what qualifies for 'hard man' these days snowflake? Also 'keyboard warrior' from the guy who just told me and half the populace to **** off out of the country...... Besides all of my post was factually correct. In retrospect I shouldn't be taking the bait
  25. Would be nice, but you voted to strip us of the right to do so. You are stuck with us for good you utter bell end .
