  1. Short term (this season); --------------------Boruc------------------- --------------------------------------------- -Clyne----Lovren----Fonte/Yoshi---Shaw- --------------------------------------------- -----------Wanyama--Schneiderlin-------- --------------------------------------------- -----Rodriguez-----Lambert-----Lallana--- ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------Osvaldo----------------- Subs K.Davis, Chambers / Fox, Cork, Ramirez, Ward-Prowse, S.Davis, Lee? To be honest we will rotate heavily around our midfield and strike force through the season. I'd prefer to see Lambert in the centre to Osvaldo on the wing. Don't particularly like the idea of them side by side. However this is obviously based on a very limited amount of playing time, Pochettino may have an entirely different tactic lined up for the future. Long term assuming Lambert declines after the next couple of seasons, i'd expect J-Rod and Ramirez to compete for the centre and Ward-Prowse to take the place on the wing. All of this obviously pending future transfer activity and youth developments.
  2. Just imagine.... Boruc Clyne - Lovren - Astori - Shaw Cork - Schneiderlain Gaston - Banega - Rodriguez Lambert Subs - Davis, Forren, Yoshida, Ward-Prowse, Lallana or S.Davis, Puncheon, Mayuka or Do Prado or Sharp or Lee. Although I'm unsure of Banegas position, is he more holding or attacking.
  3. Not a pretty performance, but honestly it's the first time I've seen us that organised. Played like a team for once rather than a loose group of mercenaries trying to gain notoriety in the shop window.
  4. Guess the 3rd would be yellow with black stripes or black with yellow stripes. Any chance of a mock up of that combo? All for that kit combination looks good, sets us apart from sunderland and stoke, still a saints-esque kit and also avoids the cringe worthy 'come on you reds' when we were most definitely the whites with the sash.
  5. New cribs album, sounds like travelling through a time portal to the mid 90's. Enjoyed it more than I expected.
  6. Weezer - Pinkerton, The Mars Volta - Noctourniquet.
  7. Hey now.... Woah, back up. Their selt titled is a legit album.
  8. Since they are back, At The Drive-in - Relationship of command on repeat for the last month.
  9. Wasn't originally too fussed about this, but it is starting to sound worse by the day. Essentially big decisions will be made that have a big effect on our economy and we won't be there to fight for it. Although the alternative wasn't exactly palatable either, ultimately we have been stitched up by Sarkozy and Merkell. People get the wrong idea about our membership to the EU, we aren't there to be ordered around by Brussels, we are there in order to negotiate and fight our corner. I wouldn't blame Cameron for this situation though, France and Germany forced us into a lose-lose situation, my only confusion is with the celebratory reaction to such a damaging situation.
  10. Voted yes to AV, 1 Lib Dem/ 1 Conservative to local council, 4 Lib Dem/ 1 Conservative/ 1 Green to parish council. Found it interesting that on the parish council form only Lib Dem and Green members were marked out, anyone else find that a tad strange?
  11. Only 3 this season; Huddersfield away, Brighton at home and Man Utd in the cup. Couldnt really afford to before Christmas, and ive worked most weekends since. Nearly went to Rochdale........ Looking at that list its probably a good thing I dont go to many lol.
  12. Voted yes, although I accept it is likely to be a victory for the no camp. AV isnt my preferred option, but I still prefer it to FPTP. Also a no here will most likely kill further Commons reform. Regardless of yes or no in this referendum, lets focus on the Lords next.
  13. Snap. May be stuck in the home end keeping my mouth shut though as my Grandad is a Doncaster supporter and would be a good chance to catch a game with him. Never saw a game at Belle Vue, was staying up there the day the main stand blew up though.
  14. Im working 11-5 on Monday and I start at 3 on the day of the Walsall game. Poor.
  15. Bit of a late reply here... but anyways. Your correct AV isnt my preferred system. My personal preference is AV+ for the Commons (retaining the constituency link, and introducting a level of proportionality), and PR for the Lords with members decided by party list. Id also like to see the number of members in each house equalised (600 in each) as the size of the Lords is spiralling out of control. I will still be voting for AV however, as im hopeful that it will get the wheels turning with regard to further electoral reform. I also quite like the idea that the winning candidate has to acquire 50% (or alternatively the maximum level of approval possible). A no vote will pretty much guarentee FPTP for the rest of our lifetimes. Unfortunetly I do believe that the no vote will win out, and not because of those with legitimate and considered reasons... More the 'I dont like Nick Clegg, so I automatically say no to anything he likes' bunch. But hey the most I can do is say yes on the 5th of May and cross my fingers.
  16. At work everyday for the remaining fixtures.... irritating. Especially since I wont be able to find out the result of the Walsall game until 7 at the earliest.
  17. 15%...... they got 23% of votes last election and managed to recieve 8.8% of the seats Although that is a tiny compared to labours stunning 35.2% of the votes in 2005, with which they managed to recieve 55.2% of the seats. Yep FPTP is a completely democratic unflawed process alright.
  18. Ace....worst..... I raise you Mel and Adric. Also on the subject of Ace; Ghost Light, The Curse of Fenric and Survival are all awesome and are all centered around her.
  19. Surely the easiest and cheapest solution is to simply bar Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish MPs from voting in matters at Westminster that have been devolved to their own assembly.
  20. Yeaahhhh. Saw a Sky peice on it the other day, the reason one elderly gent gave for no was 'the loser wins'. Stuff like that makes me lose hope for mankind. However the argument should be about which system best represents the electorate, my answer would be neither as with both systems the percentage of votes doesnt directly have a bearing on level of representation in the Commons. However AV would fix this slightly. As for 'strong' majority governments (which I dont really believe in, as the coalition at the moment isnt particularly fragile, and I prefer consensus politics rather to 'shove any legislation you feel like particularly if it hurts the other side' politics). AV only slightly reduces the chance of a majority government - Thatcher, Major and the Blair/Brown majorities would all have remained under AV. The only major difference is that in 1997 the Lib Dems would have overtaken the Conservatives under AV, however the Conservatives would have reclaimed 2nd in 2005. Both camps have been running a pretty rough smear campaign, although I would say the No camp has been rather more dubious but then I would say that wouldnt I .
  21. The Conservatives would only go as far as to allow a referendum on AV in the coalition agreement as they are bitterly opposed to any electoral reform. The Lib Dems had to make do, because obviously out of government they wouldnt get any shot at electoral reform at all.
  22. Erm..... they do. Lib Dems use STV which is their preferred voting system. But like many have said, you wont get STV without getting AV first because the Commons will only accept change in small stages.
  23. (Computer spasm caused an early posting). Continued............. Also I couldnt hate Burley after the 06/07 season purely because it was so ridicoulously entertaining, even if ultimately ended in failure. Besides any dodgy performances in the first half of the 07/08 season were soon put into perspective when Dodd and Gormans utter shower of sheeeeet took over.
  24. Jermaine Wright, Neil McCann (although I remember him being astonishingly better when playing for Scotland), BWP, Saganowski, Leon Best (I still blame him entirely for losing that play off, ive never seen one player derail a team effort so effectively before). Players I was sad to see leaving; Marian Pahars, Hassan Kachloul (although I found great hilarity in his career going down the pan immediately afterwards), Niemi (still amazed he wasnt snapped up by one of the top four), Bale, Killer. I seem to be the only person on this forum that rated Ormerod, also I
  25. Shame..... id heard TENA man. Could help with our dribbling.
