  1. Soooo predicted next seasons XI based on rumours so far; ----------------Oyland--------------- Tripper--Van Dijk--Fonte--Bertrand --------Clasie------Wanyama------- --Rodriguez---Tadic----Mane------- ----------------Austin---------------- Subs: KD (Forster and Oyland to battle it out for No.1), Yoshida, Gardos, Targett, Vilhelna/Reed, S.Davis/Ramirez (I would rather have him here than more Elia or Djuricic loans), Pelle. When you add in depth provided by some of our youth players I think we could have another good season.
  2. HOW POINTS ARE SCORED PREDICTED TABLE Based on your predictions, after Week 38 the table will be: Pos Team Pld GD Pts 1 Chelsea 38 49 90 2 Arsenal 38 38 79 3 Man Utd 38 34 77 4 Man City 38 34 74 5 Southampton 38 27 69 6 Tottenham 38 11 68 7 Liverpool 38 13 66 8 C Palace 38 5 54 9 West Ham 38 2 51 10 Swansea 38 -6 50 11 Stoke 38 -4 49 12 Everton 38 -6 43 13 Aston Villa 38 -21 39 14 Newcastle 38 -22 38 15 Leicester 38 -19 36 16 West Brom 38 -24 35 17 Hull 38 -24 31 18 Burnley 38 -25 31 19 Sunderland 38 -37 30 20 QPR 38 -25 29 Didnt realise Leicester's run of fixtures was so favourable. I think I was fairly positive about our results, I just cant see Man City messing up badly enough to let us in.
  3. Absolutely right. I would still consider Saints v Bournemouth in the prem to be a special game though, much more so than a game against Reading or Brighton (which I have heard referred to as derby games in the media before)
  4. Sooo many errors... its late.
  5. My FM10 Champions League winning keeper with Saints, which can only be good news. No sign of my 70 goal a season front three Rob Knight, Jordan Peretti and Anis Demange though, also no testimonial for former Hamilton turned 8.5 rated Champions league defender Brian Easton and his testimonial at the end of a glorious 10 year rise from League one with my legendary team. ......Ive wasted too much of my life on that game.
  6. Saw a story about Arsenal eyeing up Cabaye for £10 mil the other day. Wouldn't be the worst thing if we flogged Morgan for £20m, and then brought in Cabaye for that price (not that it is even remotely likely)
  7. IMO Having both Lambert and Pelle here could have made the difference in points for Champs league. Pelles baron spell is arguably the biggest reason we are now 6 points off United and not level (Tadic form obviously key as well). That said I think we have only just realised how to use Long effectively.

  9. Woah, woah, woah... wait a minute! I thought it wasnt possible for a UEFA confederation nation to bid for another world cup until 2030 (as the rotation rule currently prevents a confederation from holding anymore than 1/3 world cups), or have I missed something.
  10. Alarmingly enough the best goal of that kind I reckon ive seen at St. Marys is Stern John against Hull.... That seems a world away.
  11. Was a little bit like watching us towards the end of last season, loads of the ball but completely blunt. For what it's worth we have already recovered well from results like this and for the 'CL dream over' crowd, what is our current position? Mane did come on for the wrong player, Tadic was poor and Reed was solid all game, but Mane made us about 10x sharper and was the only player all game who looked like scoring. Poor games from Forster, Clyne, Tadic and Pelle for me. Bertrand shouldn't have been a red and I would expect an appeal and Targett is still solid cover regardless of outcome. Elia still looks lively, Yoshida improved the defence from Gardos last weekend and Reed / S.Davis look a solid center mid partnership. Tadic dropped with Ward-Prowse sitting between Elia and Mane next weekend please Ron.
  12. Don't believe we will sell until Summer, however if he does go this window, I would expect a nice £7m premium to be added to his base value (the payout for champions league group stage participation). £32m for now, probably £25m in summer.
  13. *On not in, damn fat thumbs.
  14. Won't play on the left, Won't play on the right, Adam Lallana, He's going in strike.
  15. Lb Cb1 Fwd1 If Lovren goes another Cb2 Fwd2 Gk Boruc great, back up suspect, but a lot of PL back up is. Would like to see a younger keeper who CAN do a job learn the ropes behind Boruc for a season then take over next. Like others I suspect we won't see anymore than 5.
  16. Subtle reminder that Bradley Wright-Phillips is now Thierry Henry's strike partner.
  17. Its not the situation any of us would have wanted, but we can build a better squad off the back of this. Koeman is also a big enough name to attract some decent names that could surprise us.
  18. I see it panning out as a 5-3-2 something more along the lines of this in defence and midfield; -----Lovren-------Fonte---------- Clyne------Wanyama----Shaw---- ---------------------------------- -----------Schneiderlin----------- -------Cork-------Lallana--------- Allows Clyne and Shaw to dart forward with a solid defensive core remaining should we get swiftly countered, not entirely different to how we would usually play with Wanyama available.
  19. Mixed feelings here. The first 55 mins had some of the best England football I've seen in an attacking sense. Even though I have bias, the key mistake was Rooney on the wings, he is number 10 for a reason and if Stirling beats him to his starting position he should be on the bench. They wouldn't have had anywhere near the joy on the wing with Lallana, purely as he is used to tracking back. Despite Baines not having the greatest game I feel a bit sorry for him, he received no support from the rest of the team and was frequently outnumbered when Italy came forward. The other major issue was our substitutes, we dipped in attacking quality when Wilshere and Barkley came on. I think Barkley has loads of potential, but I can't see why he is receiving praise for his play last night. He saw a lot of the ball but apart from that one shot shortly after he came on, he wasted possession every time he got on the ball and missed a number of key passes in order to run at the (by that time) stacked Italy defence which had responded to the weakness Stirling exposed earlier in the first half, losing the ball nearly every time. Encouraging but frustrating.
  20. Wonder if we might get the real Dutch revolution this time; ---------------Mulder------------------ Clyne--Lovren--De Vrij--Martins-Indl ------Wanyama--Schneiderlin------ --Rodriguez--Ramirez--Lallana------ ---------------Pelle-------------------- Extreme wishful thinking (but Shaw still sold) edition.
  21. Imagine the depth.... -----------------Howard--------------- Coleman--Lovren--Jagielka--Baines ----------Barry----Schneiderlin------ ----Lallana---Barkley---Rodriguez-- ----------------Lukaku---------------- Subs: Boruc, Clyne, Distin, Shaw, Cork, Deulofeu, Lambert.
  22. Having my optimistic hat on, if we sell no major players in summer I think we will look like this Gk: 1) Artur Boruc 2) Kelvin Davis 3) Paulo Gazzaniga Lb: 1) Luke Shaw 2) Matt Targett Rb: 1) Nathaniel Clyne 2) Callum Chambers Cb: 1) Dejan Lovren 2) ? 3) Jose Fonte 4) Maya Yoshida Dm: 1) Morgan Schneiderlin 2) Jack Cork 3) Victor Wanyama 4) Harrison Reed Cm/Am 1) Adam Lallana 2) Jay Rodriguez 3) Gaston Ramirez 4) Steven Davis 5) James Ward-Prowse Fwd: 1) ? 2) Rickie Lambert 3) Sam Gallagher Out: Fox, Hooiveld, Osvaldo, Guly, Mayuka, Sharp, Barnard, Forte. In: 30m split on new CB and FWD + Potential academy graduates in any position. This is with my severe optimist head, personally I think Lallana is likely to go as he is at a stage in his career where he may consider moving as his only option for silverware. On the other hand I don't think Shaw is in any rush, barring an absolutely ridiculous offer. Pochettino staying is the key factor in holding this team together I feel.
  23. -----------------Boruc------------- ------------------------------------ Clyne -- Lovren -- Fonte -- Shaw ------------------------------------ ---Wanyama ---- Schneiderlin--- ------------------------------------ Ward-Prowse---Davis----Lallana ------------------------------------ ----------Osvaldo/Lambert------- Subs; K.Davis, Yoshida, Chambers, Cork, Rodriguez, Ramirez/Do Prado, Osvaldo/Lambert. Cant decide which striker to start with, would like to see Ward-Prowse start on current form. Cant move any of the rest really, our only real area for improvement rests in attack.
  24. I can't shake the feeling we will get utterly trashed this weekend. Not in a WUM we are a terrible side and will certainly be relegated kind of way, more a freak Saints on tv v Blackpool kind of way. .....That said Tandanari Lee hat trick incoming.
  25. Campeon in red would have been a much better home kit, although that may be due to me being all OCD about home and away kit patterns matching. Calling red entrada with white shorts and yellow entrada with black shorts for next season.
