If FF & VVD have clauses in there contracts it will be too CL clubs not mid table teams like Everton. And if RK wants them thats at least half of his £100m kitty gone already

You're right no foreign manager is guaranteed to succeed,but I would rather have one that knows Europa league and dealing with a team at the top end of the table than one that knows nothing about it. We will have expectations of a top 6 finish every season now so using the academy will be harder I would imagine,the one thing that will definitely be worth noting is if the new manager deems them good enough to make the step up as RK clearly didn't believe them good enough

Eddie Howe is such a poor option imo,and people suggesting that really do show a bit of small club mentality. We are top 6 & group stage Europa,not many managers in the prem stay more than a few seasons with a team RK is the 6th longest serving manager currently in the prem. We should be looking at some of Europes best managers and they should be cueing up to join us we are a really attractive option to manage

The only thing I can think of is that the new 5 year plan starts and we want him to sign a 5 year deal,he doesn't want to commit to that and we will find someone that buys into it......that or he is a greedy fat rat The only negative is that any potential extensions we may be working on will now be put on hold until we show we still have the ambition and install a manager with a even better pedigree and drive than Koeman. We are on the cusp of becoming a seriously good team that has a chance to break the top 4 and CL is not so much a far fetched idea anymore as it was 9 months ago when we crashed out of the Europa. The next appointment is going to be one of the biggest decisions the board will make,they really need to get this right and hire a guy that will take us to the next level and have the ability to pull in class players to take us there. Thats why for me we have to go with a proven manager that has managed at the highest level,people like Howe et al really would show a lack of ambition as he won't be able to attract the level of player we should be looking at and has no experience at this end of the table/European games.

Its a pity as RK always came across as a man of his word,if he does go will be interesting to see what reason he gives, we are looking to tie players down to long contracts and have stated that we no longer want to sell our best players each summer. He can't say Everton is a new project and the chance to do something good as no other team bar Leicester has made as much progress as us in the last few seasons For me it will be purely a financial reason and I can't see how he can walk away looking well from this

Massive no to Howe. Top 6 PL and group stage Europa,we should be looking a lot further than Bournemouth for a manager. surely with what we can offer and the infrastructure we have we are looking at some of Europes top boys?

If he goes he goes,would love to see some stability at our club with players/managers but I think for the foreseeable future we are a stepping stone for them. What I do know is that we are a club on the up and whoever we get in will be a winner with a decent European pedigree,it may put us back a year it may push us to break top 4 but we will still be the same team that we have all supported all our lives and thats good enough for me.

Last time I went to the San Siro the game was called off because a player in the lower league had died on the pitch that day,so I am still owed a gamer there,Saints at the San Siro would be phenomenal,without a doubt one of my top 3 stadiums I have ever been too for atmosphere

Howe is in no way a upgrade on Poch or Koeman,its not even a side step it is a step backwards imo.if we look to replace there is no reason we cant aim higher the previous 2,the draw of the premier league is huge and there are top european managers that would love to manage a team like ours

I assumed.....but the size of the contract says to me that the board can see the potential and have give him a contract this size to scare off anyone that will come knocking,so a release clause would probably be in place

6 years is huge,that must mean he has just had a huge wage increase and will probably be our top earner,that shows a real sign of intent from the board and is bigger news than a "star" signing at this point of the season. His release clause for when Barca/Madrid come knocking must be tidy as well.
