NC is not a mug,if he thinks we can spend £6m on a player and pay his wages then we are obviously not spending above our means,fact of the matter is we are owned by billionaires and we have no debt,nobody is sure of what what we have in the kitty we can only speculate,but one thing is for sure if we are looking at buying Hooper we are sending one hell of a message out there to the other teams,

And also what kind of wages would he be asking for, you would imagine that he would be wanting £25k + a week would be be willing to pay that, from some rumours you hear we are not prepared to pay Sharp £20k a week so we obviously don't rate him highly enough to pay that

I am not saying they are but Lambert/Lallana would more than likely have a clause in their contracts giving them automatic wage rises due to promotion,also a wage reduction if relegated,and as they have both recently signed new contracts I would imagine that they have stipulations that they are the always the highest paid players at the club,so ifwe sign someone and pay them 30k a week they also rise to that,so for them to be on £25k a week is possible

Ask him if any offers came in for any of our players on deadline day i.e Lallana,Lambert,Fonte etc
