All these players going to top 4 clubs makes you realise that with the right manager and a bit more investment maybe European football wasn't that far off,and if we could sustain that level Fat Kat and her merry men would make so much more money than they have of stripping the club. Can't see how they can make a statement without contradicting everything they have previously said,unless they plan to throw Koeman under the bus and say he sold them all as he didn't want them. New players are the only statement the club can make at the minute

My concerns are all the reports are that "we are preparing bids" you would expect solid bids in for players by now.nothing but pure speculation going on other than the Forster bid,deals in the prem for decent players are hard to keep quiet as usually something is leaked,to date we have heard nowt. Can't work out if Koeman has sanctioned these transfers or the board have left him out to dry,either way he has one hell of a job on his hands,I know he is supposedly known for bringing youth through but unless we buy some proven players he will struggle with the players we have. If you think you can go out and buy the same quality players for what we pay your nuts,you buy unproven and hope they work eg Lovren,quite often they don't eg Osvaldo. I am hoping by 1st Sept I can come back here and say that the board have shown intent by making 5-6 quality signings,but the pessimist in me says we won't get our targets as we look like damaged goods

Maybe with the prize assets like Lovren,Shaw & lallana,not with players like Chambers who we should be making sure goes nowhere as he is clearly one for the future,if he fulfils his potential and moves to CB his value could easily triple I can understand why everyone seems upset,this transfer makes it feel like it really is open season on the team The only saving grace the board can do now is announce 3-4 players at once,I am hoping Guans statement of going after all our players at once come off,but I highly doubt it as the board have shown over the last few years that it can only do one transfer at a time and even that takes longer than your average deal Hard to not be worried at this moment in time

Once Lovren made those comments he was as good as gone,there was no way back for him,I dont believe we will sell Lovren without having a replacement already lined up,I would imagine a signing in the next couple of days

Isgrove has looked decent,gets back and defends,interesting to see if he gets a run in the 1st team,if I remember he played well last pre-season and then vanished completely from the 1st team

I just can't see him leaving,he seems to love won't get a better offer than playing for us (no disrespect to Cardiff) and like mentioned he is 30 now,he should take the contract we have offered become captain and see out his career with us.

I wouldn't be so sure,didn't Guan say we were going to hit all our targets at once ? the board must know that Lovren has now made it crystal clear he won't play for us again,they will already be looking at replacements and have them lined up,all it takes is agree the fee and then drag it out another 10 days or so,not a hope in hell will he be ready to play against us by then,if he is off this weekend like it is suggested he may get a game out in the US and be ready to face us for the 17th

If the board have any sense they will wait until we have played Liverpool then sell him,lets not give him any pre-season game time and make him train with the kids. Lets not make our opening day opponents stronger by letting him go before.
