I tend to think that most fans look at WGS tenure at St Mary's with rose tinted glasses. Don't get me wrong I think he was our best manager since Bally & will always thank him for the Fa Cup run & europe but I remember at his time of leaving, we were absolutley shocking....will always remember a home against Leicester as one of the worst games I have ever witnessed with Neil McCant getting so much abuse.

If we are so close to administration, then why have we not seen Lalana, Surman, Davis heading out the door ? There must have been clubs sniffing around offering a few million which would have surely have kept the wolfs from the door for a few months ? Even if they went for peanuts, I would have thought we would have seen more player movement just to get them of the wage bill. Also what about this piece of land worth millions that apparently we own ? All gone quiet on this front.

Great thread. So sad to hear about the illness of Kevin Moore. Will always remember him rising majestically to head in (the equaliser ?) against Forest in the ZDS final.

Boris' idea of scrapping Heathrow & building a new airport in the Thames estuary sounds the most logical. Flights can come in straight in over the sea meaning less disruption, noise & polution.

What sort of message will it send out ?? On one hand to be told to recycle, use low energy light bulbs, cut down on car jouneys etc etc but then whats the point when the Govt then give permission to allow extra hundreds of thousand for flights a year. Seems very little point in little me making an effort :confused:

I cant believe the apathy amounst us Saints fans....has Lowe beaten any fight we had out of us, that we are prepared to just sit & scribble a few words down on an internet forum & accept our beloved club go to the wall ? Most important than anything we need points of the board.....we aint doing that with the current Manager in change....the current manager aint going anywhere to the Chairman goes thats for sure ! So what can we do ?....I honestly dont know (& I am as guilty just sitting doing nothing), but I know if will need the majority of Saints fans to stand together & shout with one voice. We got Lowe out before, Branfoot previous to that & stopped Hoddle returning (yes, a huge mistake in hindsight!) Trouble is if anyone stands up to the plate & shows some passion, a vast amount of fans on here immediately shout them down (ie. likes of Illingsworth & Chorley). At least these guys love the club, get of their backside, shout for what they believe in & try to do something postive It seems to me that we have accepted our fate & are willing to watch this once great club slide into obscurity.

Most probably the aim .... trying to get these players wound up & hopefully off the wage bill
