  1. Signed up last week, haven't encountered any problems at all.
  2. Just resurrecting this post to comment on Lallana's corners and free kicks last night. Once again they were awful, just floated high to the far post to Wayne Thomas and then the ball seemed to just drift out of play from there. I would have liked to see some set piece plays with more pace on them, instead of giving the opposition more time to clear the ball away.
  3. Yes he does mention the Matthew Harding thing in the book. I really enjoyed the book from start to finish on the day I got it, it accompanies my "Unbelievable" DVD quite nicely!!
  4. We are a month behind everyone else in our preparation. Yes we were the first club back from pre season but what good did that do? We had no owner, no manager as such, therefore we would not have been in a position to buy any new players, let alone identify them. Whereas everyone else had a head start in planning, preparation, and players. Yes I am disappointed with our results, but it's not going to happen overnight either - just stay positive!!
  5. Gotta say that considering Neal Trotman had only joined us two days ago, he had a good game today. He won a lot of the aerial balls and he played exactly like a no nonsense defender should do and was just what we needed considering our last couple of games. I still find it strange that we only have him on loan, and worry that if he does well on games then whether Preston would be prepared to sell him?
  6. They had to show Rupert Lowe in the stands at the final whistle didn't they. I didn't mind watching it until that moment! Let's hope the result is better on Tuesday eh?
  7. Oh yes I remember now - we crumbled!!
  8. Just watching us play Birmingham on Espn classics right now in the 02/03 season at St Andrews. What was the score? The synopsis says a 5 goal thriller.
  9. Go, go, and thrice go. They have had their day, and not very many of them at that. They are dead wood and overpaid as well.
  10. Job for a Jimmy Nail impersonator, yes…
  11. Got my copy and it was worth the two hour wait. Read half the book while in the queue, excellent read so far - recommended!!
  12. Well now you owe me one Tim, as I have uploaded the short highlights from the Bradford quarter final here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saAQEz4MQv8 It wasn't actually on any MOTD video that I have - I found it on a Saints FA Cup DVD that I have from the Nostalgia series where it shows about about an hours worth of pre-match footage from the day of the Cup Final hosted by Dickie Davies and Brian Moore.
  13. I have it somewhere on Match of the day's "Goal of the season" video I think. I'll have a look and upload if I can find it.
  14. Well i'm going and looking forward to it, they have even reduced the price of the book to £14.99.
  15. I think it's obvious where we need to strengthen based on the goals that we have conceded in the league so far.. Millwall - conceded goal from a corner, after pressure from saved penalty Huddersfield - conceded penalty from a long ball clearance from Huddersfiel - saved but scored the rebound Huddersfield - conceded goal from a corner Huddersfield - conceded goal from long free kick outside the box Swindon - conceded goal unmarked from a corner I am confident that the goals will come from Lambert and whoever else and that we will get a result against Brentford. But serious questions need to be asked of our defence that is too old, and poor in the air with no pace whatsoever..........
  16. Yeah as I posted in an earlier topic, I would rather suffer the inconvenience of queuing up and getting a personal copy signed by the great man himself, and paying slightly more than what Amazon are charging and wait for it to arrive through the post!!
  17. Just out of interest, what write up do they give to Bristol Rovers and Rickie Lambert?
  18. Are you sure that's not last season's prediction reprinted??
  19. I thought we had a bye................my mate who works for Paddy Power says we were 20/1 for the trophy a while back apparently, I would be surprised if that's still the case!
  20. I'm 35, and was lucky to grow up adoring the legend that is Matt Le Tissier right from his debut up to his farewell to The Dell. The likes of Ted Bates, Terry Paine, Mick Channon are also legends of the club, but I will only be able to watch them play on TV or video footage. With MLT, I can proudly say that "I was there", and he is a player that I will never forget. Watching him from the Milton Road end scoring those two wonder goals against Newcastle to prove Ian Branfoot wrong is a night that I will never, ever forget...................
  21. Great song, would be goodvto hear something new! I have updated my facebook status with that song!!
  22. Good riddance, he is dead wood we don't need at the moment.
  23. PS The book signing is at 12:30......
  24. I must have been on another planet as I never realised that Matt Le Tissier had written his autobiography. How long had that been in the making and has anyone else been involved in compiling it at all? I noticed the announcement at the game yesterday that he will be signing copies of his book at the megastore on 20th August. Should be a good turn out and a chance to show our appreciation again for our legend!
  25. When he ran on to the pitch as a sub that was the quickest that I have ever seen him run! Fair play though as he got there on time to setup the second goal!
