I am sorry I have always seen Cortese as a sinister figure lurking in the background - A person with no football knowledge making decisions about our club. This is a Rupert style decision an will totally de-rail our season. Personally I am sick of the constant change of managers at Saints and long for a period of stability. It is no coincidence that the best clubs have a stable management structure.

I agree I personally will be a bit sad if I the year we get promoted we aren't wearing the hallowed red and white striped shirt. Not that I want to wait until be get that strip back of course.

The point you appear to make is a good one - If you get caught committing a crime you must face the consequences. These people now have to face up to the consequences of their pathetic behaviour. If you don't want to go to prison then behave at the match. I am sick of people coming on this site and defending the actions of morons that get a sniff of the barmaids apron and want to fight the world. If you want to fight join the army they are looking for brave fighters, otherwise behave so that others can take their families to the match in safety.

I think we've all seen what happens when you keep changing managers and in my opinion Pards is doing a stirling job. Can't think that Cortese could find a better manager for us at this level. Hope he doesn't turn out to be another RL and start interfering with the football and putting pressure on regarding matters he knows little about.

...That Cortese publically recognised the stirling job being currently done by Alan Pardew. We would seriously struggle to find a replacement for him. I hope that Cortese's criticism does not affect him too much.

I think given the position we were in not long ago we should have some simpathy for Palace fans, if this is the case.

I'm from Southampton and can say that I am definately and absolutely not keen on poopey but would still go for a chance of promotion.
