  1. If you are talking about recent times. I can't disagree with much of this.
  2. Totally agree with this...Although Pellegrino could have done the right thing and walked away, months ago.
  3. I have to say I like Pards. He always speaks of the Saints with fondness and He helped stop the rot in the great decline. But Now is now and I am glad we took the 3 points from him.
  4. FFs get rid of long
  5. Oh Yes Lemina !!!
  6. Mmm I accept he has a reputation for being volatile and isn’t the best with the press but he has at least got some fire. I also admit he wouldn’t be my first choice but out of what is available and realistically likely to come. He’d probably be my choice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I agree Nigel Pearson is the type of bloke needed in this situation. Contract to the end of the season with a huge bonus to keep us up. Not a bad shout if we go down either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Sack him and get anyone in, crikey even Jan Poortvliet seems like a world beater in comparison
  9. The Daily Mail are reporting that West Ham are attempting to lure Graziano Pelle to East London as an Andy Carroll replacement! Should we go in for him? He is 32 but may be still able to do a job for us and get us out of this current mire. Thoughts?
  10. I said realistically!
  11. Really that bad!!! Who do you think we are going to attract that's better?.... realistically!
  12. At the end of the article below (hopefully link works) there is mention of Saints being willing to listen to offers for Pelle. Does anyone know if this is true? http://www.espn.co.uk/football/story/2571229/manchester-united-made-sadio-mane-approach-last-week
  13. Sounds like a case for the Office of Fair Trading to me ... Interesting article
  14. Thanks for your intelligent and reasoned response
  15. I know that lots of people will say market forces but I feel that the Premier League should provide some form of protection from the circling vultures of the top four or five clubs. If they don't then eventually the divide will be so large that there will be a massive imbalance and the premier league will almost be pointless with the top six playing for Champions League and the remainder playing to avoid relegation and provide almost futile opposition. So should the League limit the number of players that can be bought from one team by another or stop players leaving until a certain proportion of their agreed contract has expired?
  16. Respect to Big Vic for speaking up, if this is right.
  17. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/479458/Southampton-s-Victor-Wanyama-REJECTS-Tottenham-talk .....
  18. I have to say that the World Cup doesn't seem that important anymore. I was super-excited having 3 Saints players in the England squad but it appears that they will now be Liverpool/Man Utd players in waiting now and our club is in tatters. It certainly has taken the shine off the WC for me.
  19. I totally agree with this ... Moyes is a man of integrity
  20. Thanks Guly ... Good luck to you
  21. I love the badge but I am still mourning the beloved striped.
  22. The special thing about this is the way it demonstrates the friendship and camaraderie that exists between MP and his players, particularly Luke Shaw, who is an important player for us. Clearly Osvaldo didn't fit into this!
