This is very true. I watched the first one again recently, and I felt like I was waiting the whole film for the jokes to start. I mean, lets face it, Dan Akaroyd and the guy who plays Egor are truely terrible. I don't even know how a guy as bad as Egor can get into any film at all. It was only worth watching for Bill Murray and Rick Moranis.

Never Met a Girl Live You Before - Edwyn Collins That is without doubt the most horrible horrible horrible song to listen to. It is almost un-listen-to-able. That horrible scratchy sound after every line "now you've got me rocking, rocking on the floor" - Aaaaack-Aaaaaack-Aaaaack-Aaaaack-Aaaaack-Aak-Aak, is the very worst bit, but the bit after "now you come a long" - Bowwwwwwwwwwwwwwn - "Yes you come along" - Bowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn is the second worst part. Everything else in it is also horrible. The lyrics, the singing, the backing singing, everything. It really is the worst song ever, Other bad artists include Counting Crows, Phil Collins, Eva Cassidy (she just sings so f*cking slowly!) Robbie Williams, Nickleback (who are truely horrible) and the guy who died who sang Addicted to Love.

all lies. talking books are rarely abridged, you can download them from sites (legally, too) and some of them are read with brilliant voices. And you dont need an ipod, you can listen on your phone. i also listen out loud at night because i dont have a bedside lamp. great stuff, i love audiobooks.

I finished The Kite Runner (6/10) a few weeks ago. Now reading, one after another, pretty much every Bill Bryson book I can find. I love them all, he is very good. I read Velocity by Dean Kootz earlier this year. Kootz is a really trashy writer, IMO. The plot for Velocity was just ludicrous.

Gunfight of the Apocolypse is the only episode I would watch if I had to watch any at all. I actually laughed at the 'just four more bowls' line. I did try and like it. I even read all four of the novels. But I think it always fell way short of its potential. I think maybe that same episode had the 'are you sure? it does mean changing the bulb' line too, which was also funny. I gave it a lot of my time, it did not repay in kind.

it is so moronic. really outdated, and chris barrie is so bad he is almost repellant. it was probably good when it started, all those years ago. but after about 5 minutes of it being on, i find my mind wandering and turn over to see what else is on. also they have been saying they would be doing a film for at least seven years. they advertised auditions for extras when i was doing performing arts at college in 2001. I think that means it will never happen (thankfully)

Well in my opinion Man on Fire is dreadful. A really really bad film. But its your favourite. That just goes to prove that 'The Best Film' is a completely notional concept. I think that Shawshank has flaws, but is probably better than 99% of all the films ever made. FWIW my favourite film is 'The Wicker Man' (original version, obviously). I dont know if it is really the best film of all time, but in my mind it is I guess. Anyway, if you like the film of Shawshank, you should read the Stephen King novella. It is better than the film, but I dont say that to degrade the film in any way. It just is. w00t w00t!

I am looking forward to 'the regulators' but I havent finished Desperation yet. Its just so f**king long! I'm on page 600, and its getting harder and harder to read because I'm not really enjoying it. If I am enjoying a book, I want it to last as long as possible, and then I get withdrawal after its over, but I dont think it will happen with this. I was hoping it would be a good ending to justify the effort, but apparently not.
