We have a squad, who are needed to play when 1st choice players are injured. And as the season is very long, players tend to get tired so the cup might give an opportunity to rest players and give the manager a chance to see how other squad members perform. I think this game is ideal to see some squad players.

Good point. But if the keeper is sent off etc, it obviously implys the ref thought the dive was not a dive so gives a penalty. The retrospective action would be to correct this wrong decision with a suspension, the course of the initial decision can never be changed.

Agree that pace is needed and it always will be a very needed requirement in the premiership. But not many teams can bring the likes of Oscar off the bench whilst also having Hazzard in the team. It's ok having pace but its what you do with it that counts and in what team set up it is used. My rambling point is who could we get with pace who is at a suitable standard that doesn't cost £35m? Not many I think.

The deflection was very lucky and the rebound from the post was straight to Torres, even I could have scored that. But saying that I may have been chucking up in the centre circle after running four yards.

Should be a yellow and maybe introduce retrospective tv action as they do with off the ball incidents. If found guilty then a suspension should follow. It has to be stopped as no matter who does it I find annoying. Winning or losing by cheating aint right.

I think MP will be judged on his position in the Premiership. Saying that I think we need to demonstrate that our second string can over come a probably weakened Burnely team, as I think they will want promotion far more than a run in the Cup. Maybe he could intice Jurgen Klopp to take over? - if he were to get read of MP, who would be his replacement? I don't think there is any thought of NC wanting to get rid of MP. We are a young progressive club and I hope we never go into serious debt again and continue to produce young talented players. All we are doing at present is endeavouring to improve those players mid table in the premiership - brilliant season imo.

Thought we did very well in the first half and definitely looked good. The subs made by the unspecial one changed the game yet again. They were powerful and direct and they took complete control (The clash reference, good hey!). The conditions made it difficult for us to play our usual fast passing game and also Chelsea closed us down in all the right areas. No big deal, if we finish 9th this yr then I'm happy as we are a good team. Just imagine being West Ham in the bottom 3 (ha ha ha). COYR

Also on another note. As Lallana is our captain and in form player, being intregal to the way we play, this type of interest can only give weight to us spending big and meeting Adams expectations here. The plan of being in the Chumps league in 5yrs cannot be realized if we lose our best players to the competition for places.

I`d go for Julio Cesar. Isnt he only number 2 at QPR? Would be great cover and would push Boruc for 1st team.
