Great player in all the games and leagues I've seen him in. Probably very under rated, as with Morgan, the occasional goal would be good.

I remember Stevie Gerrard getting a penalty when he jumped out of the way of a tackle, but a penalty was given as the intent to foul was there. Makes the Gaston incident seem even more strange to me.

I did think Lallana wasn't quite up to it in the second half. We need him desperatly to make things tick. Sad part was I thought Gaston looked great when he came on and maybe that's why his injury ranckles with me. Gaston could have won the game for us.

Maybe he's just being marked more closely and therefore MP needs to change the tactics to counter this.

Not talking about cheating, diving etc here, but a brutal tackle on one of our players, yes one of our players, have you no loyalty. It was a horrible tackle, not meant, but horrible and 100% a foul. You amaze me. 50/50 what are you on about???

He makes a clean tackle and gets to the ball 0.2..... are you mad? Really, have you seen the damage? this was a lunging tackle from a position behind the player, desparate 100%. When you think of the penalties and free kicks that are given for "slight contact" that decision was beyond belief. As you say the tackle was brutal and a last ditch lunge from a useless centre back who should have been sent off (a) for the foul (b) being the last man.

This is an interesting one as Pardew has shown to be a top Manager. Anyone who gets Newcastle performing can't be bad. It was incredible when we got Pardew, and then the boot? Also sacking NA at the time was a nonsense and a major risk with our premiership status. Ok, MP has done the business, but it was a gamble. And finally, wanting to sell Sir Rickie is just the final straw, I'd have sacked the Fury Parkered Banker myself.

Lamberts body language in a few games before this seem to indictate he knew about the transfer and I suspect he wasn't over the moon with it. Agree with this. 8th place above Newcastle is best I can see. Not bad imo as the football is quality. And maybe there is still more to come. COYR.
