Brilliant stuff. Ignored by 3 England managers, easy to see why England are so bad when the likes of Carlton Palmers was picked over Le God. I think I'm right in saying MLT was Xavi's favourite player, at least the best midfielder in the world recognises a decent player. But it is great to have such a player to talk about and compare to all others in any football conversation.

Apologies, missed all the previous garbage.

Not sure after reading that why after 24 yrs he is now a fairweather fan? Is he tight? Likes a beer more? Objects to red shorts? What is he on about?
-
Make him watch you chuck it over the neighbours fence, makes him learn where he should be doing it. Takes a week or two but worth the effort. P.s. make sure the neighbours are out at the time.

I like a few bags of cheese and onion after 8 pints of guinness. I find it staves off the hunger until I can have kebab on the way home.

Milan Mandric with a Prosthetic left hand on a lose hinge. Forget how bad that was.

Phoenix.

Having let A Martin go on loan are we short on centre back cover? Seems like a decent punt to me.

Not really, some people watch football all their lives and know all the stats but don't have a clue about football. Of course that's only my opinion and what makes it interesting is opinions. Saying that, I'd be surprised if anybody would go against how great Spain are. Now that has to lead to a better football future.

Perhaps a new beginning for saints. The start of something special.

Reading are better equipped for the Premier League than Southampton

He's a good player. -
Southgate says England needs a shrink to help with penalties

Football seems to throw up lots of past records. Look at the Italy v Germany record in competitive games. Seems to fit the bill after the game. Confidence is an enormous factor in football and I'm sure a poor penalty record eats into that confidence. Having someone like MLT coaching penalty skills can only be a plus. -
Yep, Cardiff are now red (or is it another team?). I think a real moan would be in order if we were to become blue.

Good post.Best thing about being relegated was opening my eyes to football outside the premiership. Whether that is Championship football, league one etc. From the posts lots of you have obviously always been into watching lower league football. And I definitely watch it and take my son for a day out, not quite saints but better than washing up and scrubbing floors.

Agreed - I 'd like to see Bobby Charlton making an appearance.

Your ludicrous statements are said with such belief.

Agree with this. He has had his time, more time than should have been afforded him. He plays in a micky mouse league and is 37 yrs old. Wants to be a part of everything. Not sure Micah Richards should have gone though, if he isn't willing to be standby for the Euro's then tough, no Team GB.

Carlton Palmer on the bench.

I just look at them and sigh under my breath

I'm concerned that this post has resulted in 3 pages of replies.

Looking back on life, I'd marry any women who wanted to go to football every weekend. Preferably one of those from other countries they show on the Euro's.

Always nice to see a Saints flag, anywhere. But I always feel that most England away supporters usually support little teams like Halifax or Aldershot as England gives them a bit more. Saints over England any day of the week. Come on you Saints.

We do seem to be very poor and again tonight v Sweden. But we won. Not great to watch but with that team a win is special.
