Wow, that's a relief and here's me thinking it was a waste of money. I don't drink energy drinks and as far as I'm concerned they can stick space technology where the sun don't shine. But it was good tv.

This took 7 yrs of planning. Is he some rich kid who is bored with life and needs a buzz? I'm really not sure what the point of this is. But saying that anyone with a name like Felix Tree Gardner has to be a bit excentric.
-
Maybe it's the colour of money that counts?

Agree with this. Makes me laugh that they have always lauded themselves as a traditional footballing club, i.e. playing stylish football. Firstly that's not been true for many a year and its also ironic they end up with Alladyce. And no, West Ham didn't win the '66 world cup, and no Redknapp didn't bring through all the young talent. 1-2 saints.

I quite like the kit. But, it just aint saints. Bring back those stripes before its to late.

Yes, and I'd say without question our two best players (Schneiderlin there also).
-
I would say in the modern game to be both footed is becoming a must. The speed of the game makes it beneficial for a player to have two good feet and therefore have essentially two options when receiving and giving the ball. The pedestrian and predictable nature of England's international team I think upholds this?
-
Where would you say we need to strengthen? Yoshida and Clyne have been brought in. Fonte I think, is solid. Fox has a question mark against him, but the cover he gets and the role he may be asked to do may contribute to his failings. What I like is that back four are essentially good ball players and not man mountain stoppers. Win or lose that is the football I want to watch and talk about.
-
Always nice to bet against your team losing. Must admit I've never done it and never will. But Fox is as good as he gets and has a great touch and contrary to other posts is quick. He does tend to give the ball away too much and cheaply, but I think he has been told to keep the back four line close and tight and hence if Lallana doesn't defend then he is caught between keeping close to the centre backs and defending the wide man - no win situation. Bad defending or conceding bad goals is not always down to defenders.
-
He would definitely have scored and that I'm sure. But he would find it hard fitting in with those world beating players, Cleverly, Caroll and Shelvey, to name just a few and that master class passer Carrick. But to be fair, it is always hard playing against a pub team, they do defend deep.

Isn't this the start of a Sherlock Holmes book? If it is I think there is a dog involved.
-
After a few beers and wine I'm never reading all this. Sorry. But I'll say we will stay up, but maybe go down, I'm really not sure actually.
-
Jos has always been a dodgy player. Scored a few goals last season and a decent chap, but in no way a premiership player.
-
Does Lallana need dropping to give him a kick up the backside?

Great player with many assists so far. We have had leads in most games and thrown them away. Why not bolster the midfield when we are up and give him the defensive support that he often lacks? -
We are in the premier league, wow! And we know how to score goals. Just need to sort out defending, collectively, and bobs your auntie.

Look at the table, the mighty Newcastle are 10th with 9 pts. And we are not even in the relegation places being 5 points behind Newcastle - My point is should all Managers within a particular range of points be sacked or should we stop being so negative after every time we lose. Did you really expect to be pushing for a Champions League place this year, or would 4th from bottom be a success? I trust in NA to keep us out of the bottom three.
-
Ditto that. (Also one great punch he did, under pressure).
-
Fonte - two goals from a centre back, brilliant. But I thought Fox improved markedly. Have been critical of him this season but he played ok today.
-
Taking Puncheon off was no problem, his play in the second half reminded me of my school days when a skilful player would just run aimlessly with the ball into a crowd of players and always lose it. We have a lot to learn at this level and Adkins definitely has to learn that Lambert is a handful for any opposition and gives us a very needed presence up front. Taking him off today was just plain wrong. Two headed goals against a defensively poor team - who better to have up front?
-
And what a shocker of a player Hooiveld is. A disaster or two waiting to happen in every game he plays. Own up, who has ever said he is a better player than Fonte?

Great post. The victims have moved on and are living their life's, to start bringing up a wicked past must be traumatic. There must come a time when one action starts a reaction and others feel obligated to tell the truth and relive the past. RIP my ars* I hope the fu*** has eternal damnation.

If you could pick one player from another team in the PL....
GAS replied to ToreSF's topic in The Saints
Downing, a proper winger who gets lots of assists and great goals. Could also help out at left back. Weekends would be more cheerful with him in the team to moan about. Failing that Yaya Toure. -
Could be guilt about what you may have done to the dog but blanked it out over the years and eating corned beef is a kind of retribution or perverse punishment from the sub-conscious. Hope this helps.

Hard stale bread aint so good either, makes me cough.
