  1. Brilliant that we are instructed and trying to play the ball from the back. But the goal was littered with our mistakes. These will happen whether you are young or old. Gazza is probably the best goal keeper kicker/distributor we have had for years. There comes a time in a game when he needs to know how to play the ball. Hopefully, against QPR he will know when and when not to play it short.
  2. Yeh, lets go back to the good old days, tackles from behind, talentless Cvnts running around like headless chickens making crunching tackles. You can stick that flakey Barcelona football with all its flair and talent, tactics and commitment. No place for it in the modern game. Thinking about it why don't we sack Adkins and employ Viali, he's been out of the game for 10yrs, he should be well clued up.
  3. I think we are having a proper go. Very open and attacking formation. Just naive, as NA said tonight, he is a better manager after tonights game. Always learning and always positive. COYR.
  4. Then you obviously know nothing about football.
  5. Agree with this (But have always preferred the Stones, tbh!)
  6. Was Fox responsible for Davies losing the ball when most of our team were forward and then being caught on the counter attack? Or was he responsible for an inch perfect pass between two defenders? Only his pace was lacking, nothing else. Also where were the centre backs when the goal was scored directly middle to the goal inside the six yard box?
  7. I thought he was one of our better players today, got forward and linked up well. He is totally exposed for much of the game as our formation is there to be more attacking and score goals. We conceded weak goals but only troubled Foster once. Work that one out, is Fox to blame? We play a formation that is out numbered in the mid-field away from home? Football can be a simple game but I'm getting confused. Individual errors are either caused by players not be so great (e.g. Jos H) or pressure. We have a mix of both at present.
  8. ??? why?? Lambert coming off the bench to score against Man City, perfect.
  9. I thought Redknapp brought through every talented young player this century.!
  10. Benny Hill. Not as funny as Craig David but still tops my list.
  11. I just thought that was normal for the site.
  12. Complete Control by the clash. Always played in pubs in the 80's.
  13. Sounds to me like he is a few games before the chop. My worry is the meaning of getting results. Big Sam would get results, but I would rather get relegated than go down that path. Is the premiership becoming the golden chalice?

    Wayne Bridge

Having had to play Yoshida at left back and put Clyne there we really should have gone for him. But it's only with hindsight that you realise a solid defence is needed in the premiership.....!
  15. Never really thought about having a second team. Just seem to dislike some teams more than others. But as mentioned in other posts if I lived abroad I might start going to games and start to like the culture and people at the games.
  16. 0-1 Spurs but as the clocks go back. 2-1 Saints. COYR's.
  17. Ali Dia. If he had taken his chance and scored he would have been an eccentric legend.

    Surreal!

I think he was told that one by George Burley. Or maybe it was misinterpreted.
  19. Why is there an automatic gun on the back? Or is that his hair dryer?

    Puncheon

Hasn't impressed me ever. Flatters to deceive in most areas. Reminds me of how a 12yr old plays.
  21. Maybe he does. Have you seen the QPR documentary?
  22. The daily mail really is the right paper to get an unbiased opinion from! David James is a clever bloke and it looks to me that a few on here have cherry picked individual quotes and expanded on them, whether they are in the full context of what DJ was articulating I'm not so sure. The video only shows him saying the issue with JT should have been dealt with there and then as with any other racism issue.
