I'm a bit disappointed at the way this whole thing has unravelled at the end. The whole curtain pole business has left me with a very nasty taste in my mouth. B&Q wouldn't take it back because they reckoned it had been used. And I thought I had done a reasonable job getting the residue off after my personal investigations in the absence of further instructions. The missing finial was harder to explain. I think it must have got lost when Mrs R slipped whilst doing the hoovering. Anyway I am out of pocket and not happy about it. I tried making some curtains from a bit of left over topside from me Sunday lunch but it really is not attractive, doesn't keep prying eyes out, and is driving my dog mad. Tokyo, that idea was ill conceived so I do not feel inclined to try the suggested kebab/saveloy swags and tails that you seemed to be recommending.

Where are we with the curtain pole? It's been a couple of weeks now and no further instructions. If it isn't going to get used then I am running out of time to get a refund!

You have to have the pain to appreciate the pleasure (at risk of straying into Bearsy's 50 Shades thread). Without the ups and downs it is just another Saturday afternoon.

He is a businessman. His job is not to keep everyone happy. I am sure his success is being measured within the set constraints as much as anyone else at the club. As far as I can see the trajectory of the club since he became involved is very positive. I for one am keeping the faith.

I might not be parking. I might be tresspassing. One way presumptive contracts are notoriously difficult to enforce.
