For the first time in a long time, I really enjoyed the half time entertainment. The relay was well funny again, favourite bit was when that lad took about 5 seconds to tee up a shot from 40 yards out to make him look spectacular, only for the ball to end up further away from the goal than it started at. Sammy topped it off nicely *pauses* Gangnam style! *does dance*

I think our current kit is up there with the worst. I look at us sometimes and think "Nottingham Forest". Honourable mention to around 93/94 when we were sponsored by Dimplex and had that interesting pattern on the front back which wasn't quite stripes, wasn't a massive fan of that. Best kit - I quite liked our 125th anniversary edition kit, was a nice touch. Quite a few non-Saints supporting mates of mine thought the same too, usually any such drastic kit change is met by ridicule.

Agreed. Well, all bar the Middlesborough part . Enjoyed the competitive nature of the championship. We finished second, but took no points off of the likes of Bristol City, and got a right good pounding away at Brighton, just to illustrate

I am finding myself not caring as much this season as I did last year. I'm not hopeful of our chances of staying up this year, and it all seems a bit weird. Despite being a season ticket holder for 10 years now, this is probably the least excited I've been about a season for a long time, in big part because we'll never be able to compete with the big boys. Last season was great, as it was completely unexpected - a huge part of the praise for last season should go to Adkins. Feel a bit sorry for the chap this season.

I still think we'll struggle. However, this is what I was expecting, as we're a promoted side that have come up off the back of two successive promotions. Certainly no delusion here. It's frustrating seeing our comedy defending each game, but is this much of a surprise? We weren't that strong defensively last year, we conceded plenty of bad goals. I don't think we can suddenly expect to have a great defence overnight - especially when our defensive additions include a young, promising right back that's not played in the premiership before, and an unknown Japanese centre back.
