Franny I'm agreed on this too. I feel if you look at NA's teams in pre-season you can tell he is preferring Fonte and Seaborne together as first team regulars this season. I'm pretty sure he's not started Fonte and Jaidi together once. And with retrospect, I think Jaidi knew when signing new contract, that he wouldn't play as much this season. He's gone up a league and his body may not be able to handle the increased physicality. Seaborne might.

I do vaguely agree with you there but its an interesting one.He probs has clubs like Fulham ahead of us in his head as he's been there on loan before and was manged by Mark Hughes at City, but would he be allowed to go there? One things for sure, I wouldn't want to be in his position right now!

I know everyone will probably think I am banana's but does anyone think with the Craig Bellamy/Man City situation and all that, that Wayne Bridge (if we are looking at loans) would be a possibility once the loan window is open? City will have had to have named their 25 man squad by then and if he's not in it, then it will be curtains for him there me thinks. He has seen his team mate go back to a championship club where he's always wanted to go back too...Cardiff City, and seen him say he wanted to go back at the top of his game. If Bridge has always wanted to come back here at the top of his game then for me now is the time...but would we want him back? We need wingers, its where we are short and he can play left mid, its just would he drop down to league 1. They wouldn't want him to go to a premier league club and who in the championship would take him after Middlesborough/Strachan plus would he want to move even further north away from his home down here. I know he has Boateng/Zabaleta/Kolorov ahead of him in the pecking order at City though, its why Javier Garrido left. Answers everyone...

A bit besides the point but James Beattie was just interviewed on Sky Sports news talking about Stoke whilst clearly wearing our shirt! It was at Staplewood and you could see some of our fans in the background! Most likely was today and Sky had blocked out our badge to not make it too obvious

I think some people are being very harsh to Skacel on here, to be honest he was one of our best players the year we got to the play-offs in 2007. (so near yet so far)! That year him, Viafara, Baird and Jones were the spine of our team. Also anyone remember that 30-yarder at home last season in front of the chapel?! Against West Brom when we knew we would stuggle that season?! I think a lot of people have taken this as an opportunity to slag him off, just like a lot of people are doing to the British goverment over the state of the economy at the mo! :rolleyes:

I originally said this will be our 8th manager in 5 years. I meant 11th in 5 years because even I forgot with this Lowe/manager hierarchy that we had Wigley, Sturrock and then Wigley again before Harry arrived from down the road! silly me:confused:

I know a lot of people will disagree with me here but I'm actually quite annoyed Poortvliet has gone! Just look at where all this trouble has come from. Changing manager season after season and where has it got us? On the cusp of League 1 that's where. I'm only 17 but even I know that if a football club wants to succeed then it needs sustainabilty. Just look at Mclaren and Southgate at Middlesborough (who will stay up) Wenger at Arsenal, Ferguson at Man Utd, Mourinho at Porto, Ancelotti at AC Milan, Curbs at Charlton, Benitez at Liverpool, even Capello at Juventus. We are currently studying tourism at the moment in A2 Geography looking at Eco-Tourism and SUSTAINABLE Tourism and this ISN'T achieved by changing hotels, souvenir shops, resteraunts and activities around each year. I for one am getting very p***** off with Lowe's constant chopping and changing of managers in mid-season rather than his actuall opinions, ok you appointed Poortvliet...but stick with him! Ok last year changing the manager worked, but who was Chairman then, Crouch, and he knew what he was doing and that wasn't changing the manager, that was because Burley's country came calling (for once not our fault he left). I believe even with him in charge we'd have stayed up last season. Whether the manager is from England, France, Germany, Japan, Holland or even Timbuktu they need a loyal chairman who gives them support. Not LOWE. I'd love it if Steve Gibson was our chairman, best in the country by a mile! What's this now, facing our 8th manager in 5 years? First Strachan (where it all began), then Harry the Skate, then Basset and Wise, then Burley, then Dodd and Gorman, then the 2 P's, Pearson and Poorvliet, and now Wotte! When will Lowe learn that this isn't his place, club, stadium, sport or even country to be involved with. He needs a brain operation and unless someone like Pearson is appointed quickly we are down by Easter in my opinion.... if not before! Point made!
