  1. Red Robin is a godawful Wacky Warehouse-type affair. Don't bother unless you've got the kids with you. Best pub by a long way is the Anvil - up the road from the station, past Last Orders and round through the churchyard. It's 15 minute's walk to the ground from there but there's another decent boozer, the Old Pear Tree, en route. I can't be arsed going to Watford so I'm giving Saints a shout instead.
  2. TDD - if, God forbid, the same thing had happened to Adam Lallana at Millwall, do you think Saints fans and players would be chomping at the bit to play Hull tomorrow, or Donny at weekend? It's been a horrendous couple of days and the concern shown throughout thee game has been very humbling. To talk about over-reaction barely 48 hours after it happened comes across as pretty callous. Today's news that he's moving, talking, breathing and recognising people is very encouraging but it would be daft to think he's out of the woods. Thanks for all your words of support, it's been appreciated by a lot of people who, for the timebeing, at least, have little interest in the game we all love. Come on Fab. Enzo Bolton fan (ex Milton Road End).
  3. I'm a Bolton fan but I stood on the Milton Road end in my student days.
  4. Not Super Kev, silly, even if his performance on Saturday did suggest he'd been out on the lash the night before.
  5. I'm a Bolton fan but I lurk on here from time to time because I used to stand on the Milton when I was at uni 92-95. I was talking to a ruggedly handsome ex-Saints striker at the Bolton Beer Festival on Friday night who said he speaks to AP quite often. He said there was nothing sinister behind his dismissal but that Pardew had told him months ago that NC would sack him for nothing the first chance he got. Said ruggedly handsome ex-Saint also said that he "facking laaved it dahn there".
  6. Go on then, I’ll have a do. League games only: Papa Waigo came off the subs’ bench 24 times and was replaced in 7 of his 11 starts. Saints scored 32 times when he was on the pitch and 53 times when he wasn’t, 15 of which were in games he played no part in. Antonio made 14 substitute appearances and completed just 3 of his 14 starts. Saints scored 30 times when he was on the pitch and 55 times when he wasn’t, 27 of which were in games he played no part in. The pair spent just 144 minutes on the pitch at the same time all season. Not sure what all that tells you, other than that I’m at a loose end at work today.
