I also thoguht Morgan was poor (and often overrated). Gives away the ball far, far too much, often with wild passes, low percentage and not a lot of gain even if they come off. Its no coincidence that we seem consitently to get dominated in midfield; the enemy keep the ball and pass it round, our central two (esp MS) play "get and give", but give it to the other side.

You miss the point of this forum. The point is to slag off your own players. Puncheon has assumed the role of the boo-boy, following a long line of "crap" players, many of whom are currently doing very well thank you in premiership clubs. Says more about the whingers than the players.

To be fair, Saints never had the registration of either of these players: they just weren't ours. But of course you don't want to be fair: blame it all on the one who is no longer here. Very very convenient whinghing position that one.

Getting back to the OP, I am sure he will get some criticism as soon as the team doesn' play well and win well, or if his post-match comments are not perfect. I reckon he will start to get a fair bit after 3 games if it is not a great start. Some people like to moan and will look for anythign to moan about. He's got a tough job: build a team to get out of L1 (that's not so difficult), a new team to get out of the Championship, a third team to stay in the Premiership. Or maybe Cortese has plans for a different man for th last bit. (And Cortese will give him until Christmas)

Sorry to be pendantic, but you can if "best" is a generic term to describe a group of things with similar attributes. Example: "He f*&ked the three sexiest girls at the party". You wouldn't say "He f*&ked three of the sexier girls at the party". Well, you might, but you could say the first.

Oh yes indeed: percentage of possesion, which means total zero, not even points. Then come shots on goal/off goal. Last season Chelsea away stuffed some team 4-0 i think, yet those stats had then down as less of the play and about one third of the goal attempts. the fact that they just won the ball and passed it into the opponents net doesn't count: ******ing around with the ball for 5 minutes then shooting into row Z seems to count for more.

OK, so automatic promotion form is win at home, draw away. 7 games, 2 at home, 5 away measn that "par" is 11 points. More than that we gain on par (and of course we need to).
