  1. Well i am a bit more sanguine about all of this. Its all leaky stuff in the media. Known egos who want what they want. Rumours feed rumours, plus its all a bit of fun. The club is more than one person, whoever it is (apart perhaps from MLT from time to time). If MP would leave if NC goes then fine, bye bye, if that is your whole motivation for the job. Equally if NC is off because of a power struggle, then fine, i am sure there are plenty of ggod replacements. maybe not as good, but if they are not egocentric then that is a plus that doesn't seem to have been considered. In which case, in the round, maybe we are better off? What i would like is stability, and that means sane rational people running the place. It is NOT an impossible job: the fact that a fair number of basket cases are running football clubs just proves that. You need a chariman.board/senior management structure that can run things in a business-like way, a football manager/director/coaches etc who know their business, and a good squad of motivated players. The whole is bigger than every individual part. So get on with the job. If NC is posturing then get a grip. If the trust are pulling out then get on with it. If MP is spitting the dummy then go and get NA back. Or maybe they just like it the way it it. thats my experience anyway.
  2. You fail to add that there are THREE OTHER TEAMS who need to get one or two more points. The whole forum has slumped into end-of-season-mid-table-nothingness. The relegaoitn threat was at least something to keep some interest going. Would be nice to end up 10th though....
  3. Bonus 2 points for the best pies please. Bonus 5 if the ******ers don't smell awful
  4. Come on, if Franny settled for a small fraction (a) Cortese would have declined and gone to court and/or (b) the terms of the settlement would be public. All bluster from SFC i am afraid.
  5. Too ealry to start bloeing for the final whistle?
  6. FFS, 6 years is it? So he's played at Spurs much much longer than he was at saints, and he can't celebrate scoring a great winning goal? Geez.
  7. Is this the bullying thread? Is that OK?
  8. Well I'd take top 10 and a cup Based on recent performances we are mid table/lower top half. I'd rather set realsitic targets (top 10/top that are realistic. Unless Megabucks spent. Of course I haven't actually read the echo article, but they rarely get it right anyway, so thats irrelevenant.

    Lino flagged handball?
  10. I have more faith in MP's judgement than the arm-chair looneys on this site.
  11. And a good read too
  12. "Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino knows Adrian well following his time in charge of Espanyol and is keen to bring the player to the St. Mary’s Stadium." maybe Lopez knows Pochettino - a selling point?
  13. Must say i don't see me being that noisy having had to watch that all year, then watching them throw n the towel when the going gets tough.

  15. Keep up
  16. No, I don't think he is thinking that, just maybe counting chickens. Heard that phrase? let's just not get relegated, eh?
  17. OK: wish = 1st bottom line = 17th or higher Realstically top half is fine, especially if mid-table obscurity by easter
  18. Odds generous on Sunderland - fill your boots, boys, and remember I am on a 10% bung for giving you the inside on this
  19. To be fair the backpasses were poorly placed (to his weaker side) and his kick to touch was safety first, under instructions I would expect.
  20. So you are saying pardew put together the team that got us to the prem, innit?
  21. OK, so how will that help their run-in? It'll probably help everyone else's....
  22. Hmmm. A bit like betting on horses, only in retrospect. I reckon generally something like 40-75% of transfers are disappointments. maybe more.
  23. I would take the final table, but NOT the way we get there. Very funny though "...despite a 10-minute cameo from Michael Owen in which he doesn’t touch the ball...."
  24. Yeah. "Who are you", "easy, easy", etc etc.... I can remember far too many games where we were complacent and overconfident and LOSE. Lots of then seem to be related to relegations unfortunately. To be honest i think there is not tat much difference between the teams who are 8th and 18th in the prem, es, some difference, but not that much. The point i am trying to make is that there i VERY LITTLE DIFFERENCE, if any, between us playing poorly-ish and Reading playing well-ish. So there is zeero time for complacency
  25. Well. I guess most of the above posts were made by people when ******ed. If not, they really need to get a life and grow up. This is what the forum has become. jeez.
