Thanks for the info mate. Any suggestions for the Naviglio Grande area, which is the best street/canal to head for in the 1st instance, to have a beer and get our bearings?

We have taken a few rooms in the Tudor b&b for Friday & Sat. Booked it a long time ago, as Wales are playing Scotland in 6nations, so could be reason for a lot of Accommodation now sold out.

I agree. It's due to the number of ***** on this forum that I very rarely visit. I came back after todays great result and now realised why i left, it offers no value. Its dominated by a small number of people with huge post counts who are deldued enough to to think they have the only opinion that matters. So sad!

. Wrong thread... Those instructions are for Swansea. I have me SOG head on. Apologies.

If coming by train... 'Wind Street'. Pronounced as 'wind' as wind up a clock. 10 mins walk from Station, then plenty of cabs or busses to the ground. 20 mins.

Hello Rut. How you doing mate. Thank you for letting us know. But such horrid, horrid news. I Knew Malc and had many great away trips with him bumping into him at just about every ground and any prematch ale house. We even turned up early in Bucharest only to find Malcolm already in situ in the Irish bar... The one trip that will always stay with me is the 2dayer he arranged for a Tuesday night game in Sunderland. The coldest I have ever been at a footy match with so few Saints fans making the game. However our small band of Saints came togrther from all directions and met at the Travel Inn at Newcastle for 2 days of complete laughs chaos and friendships. We even had Paul the New York Saint fly in for the session. A crazy couple of days in the company of a lovely chap. One of the most passionate Saints fans you will ever meet. A true Saint, a true gent. RIP Malc.

True, they have generally been supporting a winning side, but I can't agree their support is not that good. Home true, but not away! Their range of songs are immense and they chant them for much longer than the few seconds our chants last. Will see next w/e.

Err. No he is not!!! One of our group was sat in with home fans around halfway line. He said we were loud at the start of the game and when SRL went off. The problem is... 1. We sing players songs, but they come and go. So we have to keep reinventing new ones. We should chant more about the club or the city. 2. Anyone who comes up with suggestions, songs or ideas on here, get shot down by the opinionated, vocal minority. 3. We have some saying... "If we had Ultras, or drums I will stop going". Your choice mate, but a few folks said the same at C.Palace. ...and is Selhurst now empty? Is Swansea Empty? Is Leicester empty? 4. Ffs... Slow the chants down. When the WBA drum started with "xxxxx, blue army"... Our numpties even tried to join in and succeeded in chanting faster than the drummer. Once again the songs faded to zilch as the numpties tried clapping at 100 mph. Bungle was spot on. Our vocal support was and apart from Arnhem away, has been cringeworthy. I am ashamed to say, MU will come down to SMS and show us how its done. Any ULTRAS out there? Don't worry.... apparently the anti-anything-brigade won't turn up now, so dont be concerned what they say on here. OWTSGMI

What's wrong with a song that goes on for 20 mins.! Our normal stuff dies out when the back-board slappers speed up every song to over 100 miles an hour and fades out to silence. I am an old fart but quite enjoyed bouncing around the seats to this. It stopped Vitesse fans singing to us in perfect English "you only got one song".
-
True. we will not be bothering to pass on our spares via forums, we will do in the bars in Arnhem. Us and loads of others will be around in the main square with spares (mainly home end). Just ask, and you will get them. There will be so many tickets floating around. Just book your travel and turn up The worst case... Is that you cant find any tickets... but the bars in Arnhem will be showing the game live on FoxSport. Just turn up and enjoy the occasion of being there when Saints played in Europe. I have Dutch relatives and as long as we don't behave like cocks, the locals will truly welcome us. Just turn up and enjoy the occasion.

These ticketbox kiosks are run by agents who have access for all sporting events etc. The tickets are printed while you wait at the kiosk. as Mouldy says, no need to wait for post or collect from ground etc . they charge a small commission. However this game is being restricted so the purchaser will need to have a Ticketbox ID linked to a Dutch address. I am buying some tomorrow, so will let you know how we get on.
-
Our group is booked on the same train. Its the only real (direct) option to get up there on time.
-
Thanks for the link folks... worked a treat. Cheers.

Thanks for taking the time to write this all up. thanks. For me, I still scowl whenever I saw him play.... but until now, I could not honestly remember why! I knew it was something he said, but completely forgotten what! so agree with the comments above. Well done for the interview and the kind words, and lets move on...
-
woops. sorry, should have said a 2,500 (not 2,200)...
-
We have only taken 2,200 tickets from WBA, and that is ALL we will be taking. we have sold 1,800 by Monday. this info from Hants Police via Twitter.

This is the reason I rarely post on this Forum anymore! take a couple of moments to write a quality, insightful post... or just slag someone off in just 4 words from behind a keyboard. Jeez!!!
