Never in a million years !! They just think it's clever to post on here, and revel in the unfortunate situation we presently find ourselves in. Says it all really, just pretty childish [-X

I can see it now ....... ....... Souness takes over the club, and within a few seasons we are back in the Premiership. ........ Then in the final game of the season at Portsmouth (which we win to take the Premiership title),he plants a Saints flag in their centre circle (as he did in Turkey). ...... Oh well we can dream,it breaks up this awful wait to see if we actually get taken over ...... Back to biting my nails, and taking the tranquilisers !!

Rupey Lowetter, coming to a Guildhall near you!

What with that face, forget it (puts you right off your Lunch) ! :smt009 -
And this gentlemen is what has undoubtedly taken place, some of you are just reading too much into it.Who cares if there are some strings attached or some perceive there is more to it,the guy is keeping our club going for the moment. To be honest Crouch just can't win, whatever he does there's a minority who will try and attack him.I am no lover of Rupert Lowe, but if he did the same in these circumstances I'm sure many fair minded fans would applaud him. Well done Mr Crouch sir, most of us are thankful for your help in these terrible times ! :smt038

I understand what you are saying Nick, but you also have to see the other side of the coin. Would you continue to give your hard earned money to a business, where they treat you with contempt and charge you premium prices for rubbish week in week out ? If your local Tesco's did that you would complain loudly and then vote with your feet, vowing not to return until things were put right. That's all that has happened with some fans this season, and their action can't be classed as the reason for our club's demise. Any reasonable person would see that our problems have stemmed from poor management and decision making over recent years, and not the fact that some fans have stayed away. By the way,in business the product is vitally important. If you build poor quality cars customers won't buy them, and if you run a retail outlet for example and alienate your customers they don't come back. That's the stark fact of running any business,it's just a pity that those people running (and ruining)the club couldn't see it !!

A brilliant day despite us losing, and we put the Arsenal fans to shame.I remember us when we all came out of the Stadium,we were still smiling and singing our songs while the Arsenal fans walked away without hardly a murmur. We certainly showed them how you support your football team, let's hope we get the chance to do that again in the future ?

Will what happened to us happen to that lot down the road?

Fair comment and despite our fierce rivalry, I doubt many fans want to see either of us go to the wall.If both sets of supporters were being honest,I'm sure they would rather both teams were in the same league(preferably Premiership) enjoying the fantastic atmosphere that the local derby games bring. :partyman: -
MAMMA MIA ! ( When is this torture ever going to end ?)

To be honest I wouldn't want MLT as Manager,it could destroy the strong link between him and the fans ? Most Saints fans worship the guy for what he's done, and I'd hate for that to be destroyed if things went badly wrong with him looking after the team.I'm not sure Matt has the necessary qualities to do the job,and to be honest I don't think he would want the job anyway (IMO). The guy is a legend, let's just keep it like that without ruining things ! :smt045

MLT on SSN confirmation of Consortium involvment

Time to forget about all this takeover stuff for the weekend, and concentrate on other things.Nothing will happen till next week now,and it might be more toward the end of the week before we hear anything ? All these latest twists and turns have thrown everybody, fingers crossed this saga will be over sooner rather than later ? Cut the grass, wash the car,do some shopping, and put "the takeover" to the back of your mind. -
More brilliant management, asking other clubs their opinions.Symptomatic of the way our club has been run for a long long time, the lack of good management and common sense has near killed us !!

Would you settle for promotion back to the Premiership in 3 years, with the Cup stuff to follow later -

I'd go with Weston on this, pretty certain that details are being finalised before an announcement shortly. The 606 poster would appear to be way off the mark, don't know where he dreamt up some of his post ? Despite all the stories and rumours that have been circulating on this forum (and elsewhere),it's my belief we will have new owners pretty soon.Once the announcement has finally been made, just wait for "the usual suspects"on here to pick the new owners to pieces and find fault with something. :smt023 -

Probably scared to post anything,in case someone jumps on them and rubbishes any information they have (see the posts on the conference thread) ? A few people know that we are getting close to an announcement about a takeover, some of us are reluctant to say anything because it's just not worth the grief. All will be revealed shortly I'm sure, and we will have a club that we can continue to support. -

I think we all need to calm down, and try not to get too hot under the collar ! Let's just accept that all parties involved are striving to bring about a deal, that will hopefully satisfy Mark Fry and the fans ? Good news around the corner, let's keep fingers crossed. -
Fetch the straight-jacket,and ring for the chaps in white coats !! :smt082

Sadly we continue to spiral downwards, with no sign of being able to pull out of it. Um Pahars is right in saying that we might come back stronger and more together in the future, but like most Saints fans I'd rather not go through such pain in the hope we might bounce back some years down the road ? Our club seems rotten from head to toe,we will only move forward if we cut away the disease within (Lowe/Wilde etc etc).
-
Less talking from Wotte off the field, and better displays from his team on it are needed I think ! The man spouts rubbish at times, and does himself no favours whatsoever.
-
Total OWN GOAL Alain !! I think perhaps you realise by now, what a stupid thread this is ? We will give you the benefit and say it was meant with partial humour, but don't expect the majority of true fans to go along with it.All along "the powers that be" at St Marys have bleated on about cost-cutting and players having to be shipped out,so even those that don't share your views are content that we have held on to players.
-
DRACULA He's sucked the blood, out of our club !!

Well done to all those that were on the protest march yesterday,it came across pretty well on ITV. Even non Saints fans have commented to me about the perilous position at our club,so the message certainly got across. Now we need to keep the pressure on,and ensure we make life uncomfortable for those in charge who have bought our club to its knees. As for the posters who have rubbished the protest,if you are honest I bet you never expected it to be so well supported. Some of you seem to be obvious Lowe/Wilde plants, while others appear to be living in a dream world if you are happy with the downward spiral our club has taken. The vast majority of true fans are unhappy with the way our club is run,we are not chavs/hooligans/mindless idiots but just decent passionate fans who have had enough.
-
B,C,D from the coverage ITV have given, which will have done us no harm at all. We need to keep up the pressure now,and perhaps our dream of getting our club back might become a reality.
-
Must admit I was pleasantly surprised by the coverage,to be honest ITV just about got the balance right. At least our problems are now out there for all to see,so perhaps we might see some developments in the coming months ? Rupert will be seething at some of the honest comments that were made, expect him to sharpen his tongue and come out fighting. Surely now we can bring about the necessary changes the club needs to survive,to do that we need to keep the pressure on.
