He doesn't mind taking a shot, and is alright at it. Dunno what's happened recently but his head's looking at his feet. Tell the man to look up and shoot. He can score goals.

Never really bought the wages argument. If I was in a job that required a specific level of skill and was let go because I didn't quite make the grade, I wouldn't grumble about going to the company next door who would give me slightly less responsibility for slightly less money. I was being overpaid!

This for me. He's a very good defender. Reassuring when he's on the pitch. Improve his skills going forward and he'd be top drawer.

Just a friendly I know but......defensivey poor, midfield weak, little attacking threat. Vestergaard slow and poor in the air for a big man (a la Hoedt) and loses his man way too easily. Think he will be punished in the Prem. Austin offered nothing today, won nothing, created nothing, first touch awful, passing poor. Long was better which says something. Would rather have Long's pace causing at least some difficulty for defenders.....Austin was too easy to defend against. Gabbi again looks like a class player at times but lacks consistency and never really looked like scoring despite having one of the only two shots on target (Long the other). Bertrand looks worse every time I see him, has lost all the desire of two or more seasons ago....a passenger. Redmond a good tryer but struggles to complete anything. Elyonoussi looks half decent from the one half we got to see him, certainly determined....maybe not as good as Tadic in those areas but time will tell. Armstrong looks decent too.

I would take any of those predictions right now. Hope our new manager and our new additions work well for us but it's very much up in the air again for me.

Just want to see that Vestergaard. Armstrong and Elyounoussi look capable and that we've got some sort of strategy on the pitch. First game of the season for me.

Think it's ours to lose today. We pretty much know how Sweden are going to approach it and we should be young and fit enough not to get caught on the break too often. When they sit deep Kane will be a nuisance in their box and we'll get something eventually. Set pieces might be a problem.

Ball did swerve a bit but wow, he really read it badly. Cacares didn't impress me much today either.
