It's not about left/right regarding politics, particularly. Athough the beeb does chop and change on that front, usually depending on proximity to an election, degrading its credibility (in favour of tories actually). It's tough to get non-biased reporting but, again, if you're going to force your public to pay for media then you need to try a lot harder to achieve that, if that is your aim. Their diversity agenda I do have issues with, regarding employment and programming. It makes no sense to me. Let someone else pay for it.

I don't mind the sort of "diversity training" that explains a bit about the differences between people's culture or religion, so that we might all get on a bit better in the workplace for example. Education really....that's fine. When you start introducing employment quotas and targets is where it goes wrong for me. Offers should be based on merit, nothing more. If people from certain groups of society aren't flourishing, look to find out why that is. Try to improve things so that they can. I think I'd ban pushing the "white privilege" agenda too. Far too simplistic and divisive in itself. Plenty of white people are disadvantaged. Plenty of "people" are disadvantaged.

If the attacker had said "Outta the fucking way cunt face" the reporter would have said "hurled abuse" or something rather than repeat the cussing. Because some viewers won't want to hear it. She'd have been better off saying "racist abuse" for the same reason, rather than repeating it. Although I did read somewhere that the family of the bloke run over specifically wanted the words to be said, in which case that needs to be made public for the reporter's sake. Might be BS though.
