  1. The Times and Guardian are both also small sized now. On the whole The Guardian is the best paper, but even there I find some of the journalism sloppy, misquoting or misleading and I'm no expert. The Times is probably more accurate and trustworthy and is often a good read. But I still prefer The Guardian. I've never tried The Observer though. The Sun is ridiculous but of course I read it. I worry that half the country takes it's articles seriously though which is why I hate it.
  2. I can't find much info on ticket details. Just turn up on the day?
  3. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1708421,00.html Latest statement "remains hopeful".
  4. What an absurd poem, penned by a mental case I suspect.
  5. Pretty basic and unusual error to make if this is the case. Certainly misleading. Odd.
  6. Cheers, if I want to witness an old dear giving me the bird, I'll go round the mother in laws.
  7. Genuine question from someone who wasn't lucky enough to be watching Saints in that era and has never seen LeTiss play. Many of those goals were from some distance away and a couple RIGHT in the top corner, I've seen a few times watching these videos the quick flick to get the ball airborne that he seemed to like before he cracked it. Was it usual for him to have a crack from distance? Was that his style? If so, did he miss plenty too, or was it almost expected that if he got a bit of space infront of goal, something would happen?
  8. Stupid old sod.
  9. I like his rose avatar.
  10. Bets on TheUglyInside's server crashing at 11:55?
  11. Don't really mind, as long as they're nice to the wife and kids.
  12. Saints 2 - 1
  13. Hi, sounds like a good idea, but does this replace the Saints Prediction League we had last year where we predicted the score of each Saints game? Or will we have one of those also, does anyone know? Thanks.
  14. I haven't bought a shirt for many years, but I have three or four old ones which I still wear. Wearing the shirt defines my purpose for the day, when I'm in it, I will be drinking beer and watching football.....sort of like a uniform. I never wear it on non match days. Also if I'm away from home there's a feeling of comeradery when in the pubs and around town which I like. I feel proud to be in someone elses town advertising the fact that I'm there to support The Saints. I must admit, the older I get I feel less comfortable in it - I think essentially it is the attire of the youth - but when I'm in the pub or the concourse with all the other shirt wearers it feels right again.
  15. Well I'm feeling more positive than I was a couple of months ago. Top half.
