  1. Reading and Brighton.
  2. The way I understand it is that there really isn't any viable youth option for them. They know they have to ship out as many high earners as possible, but the problem is who to replace them with. I assume they've gone for the cheapest loan options they can afford to see them competitive 'till the end of the season. As you say though, from the outside looking in, it doesn't seem like they've done nearly enough, and I wonder where the money's coming from.
  3. Back when darts was good. They should play re-runs of those tournaments.
  4. Saunders should have said they need to take one game at a time.
  5. Regardless of other results, I have a feeling that if we win this one, we're going to start to witness some serious pressure on those sitting in 2nd and 3rd. Watch for the cracks. COYR!
  6. I sometimes think he comes across as not too bright, or not having a footballing brain, as has been said he's full of standard answers and nauseating chiches. Personally I suspect he's just made up his mind that he's not going to give a single thing away, he knows he's got to talk to the press so rattles off the same old waffle. It's a ruse to keep tactics tight and letting as little information out as possible.
  7. Very impressive Saints graph. If we manage to stay in the top two to the end that'll be quite something. Reading, out of interest:
  8. So close to call that I do worry we'll end up third. Thinking positively though, us and Reading in the automatic places. West Ham third, then screw up the play offs, remain in the CCC and dire financial worries ensue. You know that saying, never gamble more tha you can afford to lose?
  9. Councillors scrap plans to purchase the dump. What a surprise. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/politics/councillors-scrap-plan-to-discuss-purchase-of-fratton-park-1-3645101?commentspage=0
  10. I don't see much difference with those that jump on the Premiership bandwagon. They want to turn up to see a better team play, or to see better players or whatever. Would you turn down the extra 8000 or so supporters? There are probably plenty of reasons why people choose to buy a ticket, I don't see much harm in people wanting to follow a particular player if it gets bums on seats.
  11. I don't know what sort of restraint youtube has, but if you read some of the comments regards anything remotely controversial, it is subject to the sort of garbage which would be illegal if said publicly in many other mediums. Seems like a complete free for all sometimes. I do hate the thought of restraining people saying stuff though, however idiotic.
  12. I wonder how many people on here, for example, would be happy to have their anonymity lifted and their posts handed to their employers/friends/families/etc. I'd wager there were one or two who'd be uncomfortable about that. It's a toughie for me. On the one hand I like the fact that folks can virtually say what they like online without recourse, freedom of speech etc. Then again when people spout horrid nonsense like this guy, what do you do? Is ignoring him or answering back telling him he's wrong enough?
  13. Best of luck to you and your partner. I suspect those who oppose gay marriage are in the minority.
  14. Yeah, seriously.
  15. My question is, who the hell was he supporting when we got relegated? And presumably he also supports Man City, so what happens when we're both on at the same time.
  16. Rather than blame your tools, if they can't see you ****ging, perhaps you should bring the performance a few feet closer.
  17. I'm glad that game's coming up, they'll struggle to both win it.
  18. As a matter of interest, if AFC Portsmouth was created, where would they start on that league pyramid, or does it depend? AFC Wimbledon started way down in the 8the tier if I remember correctly.
  19. Come on guys, less singing more playing.
  20. What I was wondering, to the Amarillo tune.
  21. I presume, in due course, the bell ringing numpty will be changing his name to "John NO Portsmouth Football Club Westwood".
  22. Surely no interview questions necessary. This player has already been signed and has been playing for us for the last two months.
  23. So does this mean I can cancel my direct debit and expect no problem but a few letters? Cool, I love getting stuff for free.
  24. The guy who shouted the 'hilarious' banana gag is a tiny minority, as are the right wingers who troll these threads whenever they pop up. Report him to the club if you like, but fortunately they're a dying breed. Cameron on about footy racism in today's Independent, if you're interested. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/david-cameron-plans-football-racism-summit-6804609.html? "My message is clear: we will not tolerate racism in Britain. It has absolutely no place in our society and where it exists, we will kick it out," he said. "Our football governing bodies, clubs and footballers themselves have a vital role to play as role models in this respect."

    Bye Bye Huhne

I think there's been an injustice. Would the police spend the resources it has if you or me had lied about a speeding fine 8 years ago? Do you think they would have investigated it for 8 months? Surely Huhne should be subject to the same levels of police scrutiny as the rest of us, not more.
